We'll finally get our first win of the season, and quite comfortably too.
Easy 3 nil win, 2 for lester and the other from bonne.

What about the GEL!!! When's that starting. I'm not falling for the team need to gel, it's just Cooks get out of jail for a while. Our last 2 opponents have brought in 17 & 14 new players themselves and they seem to also have been provided with Gel!! Haha.
I can hear it now once we get our first win, Cook " the team are now starting to gel".
I know all you Cook is the messiah fans will down mark me but you are all falling for his charm and media mastering, similar to that of Lambert in his early days. I guarantee you will all be calling for Cooks head at some stage during his time here.
Let the down marking commence haha.

Nope but it’s true that we heard all the same guff from Lambert.
Truth is they may gel and they may not.
My hunch is that if PC stays around chances are he will get us there or thereabouts to be promotion contenders, he’s done it this way before. But I don’t think he can take us beyond that. My misgivings are all about the position the club is put in if that doesn’t pay off. If we do get promoted it will be by slim margins with the competition around us for the top places.
So far no one can disagree with the fact that PC’s results have been absolutely abysmal and have come mainly against small clubs with nowhere near our resources and means and it’s relegation form.
I am hopeful that we start to pick up two or three wins in the next handful of games because if we can’t do that we will be battling at the wrong end of the table.

that is a pretty safe bet…….but it could be when we miss out on champions league football in 4 years time….very few managers leave a club when it’s going well and I don’t think Cook will be head hunted by Man City however well he does.

Considering we'll possibly be having another one or two debutants making their appearance tonight, I'm not predicting an Ipswich clean sheet! I'll go for an enjoyable 3-2 Ipswich win - we've got to win one of these August games, right?
Yes indeed Nuggets, I have a hunch once we get in the winning mode, the floodgates will open. A new found confidence will ooze throught the Club.

no, because hampy will carpet bomb the ground with little bundles of despair, the whole team will wonder what the point is & we end up getting tonked 5 nil, whilst we all dive off the diving board of despair into the swimming pool of no hope we can at least take some contentment that Hampy will be a little bit happy
