Remember how I always bang on about the Supreme Novice 2011 form?

How about the treble?

Champion Chase, Ryanair, Gold Cup.

Sprinter Sacre 5/1
Al Ferof 7/1
Cue Card 13/2

Best priced 378/1 treble

You know you all want Al Ferof in your portfolio <laugh>

Ma Filleule is a current 25/1 top price and I'd prefer her to those you've mentioned. It's very much a tread carefully race, due to uncertainty.

Mr Henderson will run the old girl in the Grade 1 ‘Ascot Chase’ later in the month. How Ma Filleule fares in this will determine whether or not she runs in the Ryanair or one of the handicaps at the Festival.

Just rewatched Brindisi Breeze's Albert Bartlett win. Still gets me everytime. Slick from the front and full of heart, Barters Hill will need to jump better but certainly has the heart for a battle to do the same.

Poetry in motion Brindisi Breeze and tragic what happened to him and Campbell Gillies RIP <rose>

Combination of lack of serious competition and class of the horse. Long Dog should go here and he'd be a fair shout for the forecast but for win purposes I'd be as confident about Yanworth winning the Neptune as I was when Faugheen won it.

Bellshill must have been wrong during the race but it's too short a time frame to trust him to get back to fitness so he can be confidently ruled out. I don't rate Yorkhill particularly highly.

Is Valseur Lido heading the Ryanair route? He's one I'd be keen on but I will wait until very near the race for any investment.

I'm hearing Bristol De Mai is also JLT bound. 12/1 quoted generally. Would have a strong chance in that race.

Anyone got a clearer idea than me as where VL is going to wind up? Pretty sure BDM still heads to the JLT where a mouthwatering clash with Killultagh Vic is possible.

Also, can anyone remember there being such an amount of very short priced ante post favourites in their lifetime? Looking at you old fogies

What are we thinking regarding the likely ground at the festival? The met office is predicting more settled weather in the second half of February before a return to wet and windy early March. How real is the possibility of a soft ground festival?
Just said this on today's thread.

These bookies ain't stupid they're happy to take your money twice

I was thinking Supasundae would make up into a nice horse over a longer trip but I see they have stuck to the Supreme only. He beat Yanworth in an Ascot bumper back in '14 but Yanworth looks to have progressed a bit quicker currently. Supasundae could definitely be interesting if he turns up and is a big price on the day. Any thoughts re his chances?

Annie Power on course to run at Punchestown on Wednesday, and there is some money for Vroum Vroum Mag on the exchanges for the Mares hurdle.

I wonder whether they will indeed take on Thistlecrack with Annie after all.

Any market for how many last fence fallers Ruby 'Accumalator Killer' Walsh will have on any of Mullins hoptpots?!

Annie hasn't a hope in hell over 3m against Thistlecrack, she's not a strong enough stayer. Her best trip's 2m4f, so the Mares is where she should run. I know some might talk soft touch bollocks and all that but you run the horse over the trip they need, especially there. Worryingly I suspect she might end up in the longer race. She's a hell of a mare and without the jolly, I'd say she'd get away with the trip stretching her but that lad eats the hill up. At least it'd make the World Hurdle a much more interesting race now, as one thing Annie Power does is she gets the people talking!

Beefy, one thing I wanted to ask you- if Annie Power wasn't fit and wasn't running in any race at Cheltenham- what would you do with Vroum Vroum Mag?

Mares, World, or Ryanair?
