There's a whole load of potential links here, probably better off waiting until near kick off and then choosing one: http://www.wiziwig.tv/broadcast.php?matchid=230204&part=sports[/QUOTE] Doh! I forgot I was an hour behind!
England 1-0 Finland - Keane Michael Keane heads in after a great curling and floated cross from.... yep, James Ward-Prowse.
England have some skilful players who just keep getting frustrated running into crowded areas. Love to see skill, but also need to show intelligence. Too many aren't playing for their clubs...so not getting match time. Shaw got the ball, turned, ran into space and put the ball across the goal...resulting in a goal. A commentator said that sometimes it just needs to be kept simple. The good thing is that if you have skill, the rest can be coached. Shaw and JWP are looking what they are....PL players.
Shaw keeps running into space and offering the outlet but there are 2 or 3 on that pitch (no names no pack drill) that just won't pass to him. They are determined to score the goal themselves.
In fact they are being self defeating as he is more likely to set one of them up than score himself. Lack of game time is showing with some of these players...whereas Shaw and JWP are more mature.
JWP looks a bit weary, a couple of corners not quite up to his usual standard, or was it the forwards not reacting to the training ground routine?
I know Zaha gets fouled but bloody hell, will he not do the wise thing and release the ball when it is clearly better for him to do so. I am all for a player taking on the opponent, but sometimes a pass and go is better.
'Kin Hell, poor old Luke is desperate for the ball. He keeps making little runs and checking back, and not even his mate JWP is passing to him. He was in acres of space a few minutes back.
Halleluja, JWP lofts a pass to Luke, who pops it into the area, Hughes leaves it and Berahino hits the bar. Good move.
FULL-TIME: England 3-0 Finland Goals from Michael Keane and Saido Berahino x2. An assist for Luke and an assist for JWP too.
Our boys did well...looked mature compared to some and involved in a lot of the important moves including 2 goals.
