If she doesnt get smashed does she get raped?

Is she or is she not responsible for her actions in getting drunk?

How does this mean she was to blame. She could of prevented it with a little self control earlier in the night but the act itself was perpetrated by Ched Evans.

Sadly, being in that state is seen as fun for some reason and if you don't enjoy drinking or getting yourself into a state you're seen as weird or sad. Social conformity at its finest. A lot of crime is committed as a result of alcohol or drugs. A lot of relationships/ marriages are destroyed because of it. Both alter behaviour, suppress inhibitions and the conscience and lead people to do things they regret. Yet funnily enough only the latter is illegal to take.

That's bullshit. You're clearly tarring all social groups with one brush. Plenty of people go out and socialise doing different activities that don't involve getting smashed, infact if you were to turn up in the vast majority of social situations hammered you might look like the weird or sad one. If you think people do it purely to avoid looking sad or weird then you must be about 14.

I enjoy getting ****ered personally, but certainly not to conform to any social group <ok>

Yeh but some people dont see people getting themselves in these states as an issue.

I do and when I dont get raped, mugged, stabbed, shot or anything else becase I know what I am doing I shall feel rather smug about it.

The poster is not far wrong. Like you I dont conform to any social group, I think people who do are sheep and have no time for trend followers but millions of people go out with the sole intention of getting so drunk they may require hospital treatment and its the peer pressure that makes them feel the need to do this.

Sheep simply cannot handle their drink.

Well I do apologise Tobias.

To answer your question, the person who is drunk has to take responsibility for being drunk. What happens to them while drunk may be out of their control but getting to that state most certainly is their problem.

That's bullshit. Everyone has the right to get pissed, and everyone also has the right to not be assaulted/raped when pissed. You're probably the sort of person that thinks women that wear revealing clothing deserved to get raped <doh>
