I'm not saying he should be denied a contract for that, I just have no sympathy with the stupid Welsh twat, even though I know he's been no different from what thousands of other lads get up to on silly nights out, the fact is, if he was loyal to his Mrs, he'd have been ok all along.

I'm not defending him Terry, I think he got what he deserved plus he's called 'Ched' ffs. I just don't like this internet culture where people can fire off petitions, threats & the like while switching between Jeremy Kyle & Come Dine with Me and ringing Dominos.
It's become like a parallel universe where thick saddos can toss themselves off.

There are no consequences for these people which only encourages them.

Yeah, I'm with you all the way on that mate. Nobody is accountable (well rarely) for what they put online, unless they're inciting hate toward a minority.

One of the saddest things in society is the bedroom warrior, who masturbates himself into a skeletal state and spends his days with his pants round his ankles firing shots off at unknown entities online promising to deliver them great harm, when in reality, he's about as likely to win Mr Olympia as he is of hurting anything resembling an adult human.

It's like the modern day prank call.

Did anyone listen to this topic on Question Time last night?

David Davis made a great point that some convictions will destroy careers. Some examples would be any sex offender will not be allowed to work with vunrable people etc. I believe people found guilty of fraud cannot work within certain areas and there are even limits for people who have filed for bankruptcy cannot be directors of companies for so long... The FA are the people who should be debating this and they should consider a rule that sex offenders are not allowed to return to the professional game, as usual they are taking the easy option of sitting back and let the cluds sort it out, what is the actual point of the FA can someone explain??

There are also a lot of comments on here of people claiming the guy is innocent, I'm not going to sit here and say I have read this or that, but bear in mind that the guy was convicted by a jury, who would have sat and listened/viewed all the evidence.

On another note I think it is discusting that the sentence for rape is 5 years, when compared to the sentence for illegaly downloading a CD or DVD is 10 years!

Are there, that's quite an accusation to make.

I think the current generation,

I think I'd have his back a bit more if he hadn't cheated on his Mrs, that's the part for me that makes him a complete scumbag in all honesty. It's clear from the court case, that he's just had the unfortunate luck to end up with a slut who's desperate to cash in any which way, but he's now a convicted rapist, crying that he's not allowed to go back to work.

It serves him right for cheating on his girlfriend, the dirty little rat-faced ****.

Do you feel the same about Ryan Giggs?

Perhaps my first comment was a bit harse and I apologise if it offended. Suppose what I was trying to get at was the point that a jury convicted the guy and not matter how we read what is in the media etc. surely that jury had more evidence that what we have seen.

He's shagged a pissed & drugged up slapper like 100's of blokes do every weekend.
So if is now the law then they'd be no adult male population of Britain left to work. <ok>

No, Ryan Giggs didn't rape anybody.

I didn't condone what Giggs did to his family, the guy went down in my estimations as a person, I think he'll end up waiting a lot longer for a knighthood as a result as well.

The judge seemed very inconsistent, he claimed that the 'victim' was so incapacitated that she did not have the coherence to make a level headed decision. He didn't mention the two guy's state of coherence though, making the inference that it's ok for women to get out of their faces and get to a stage where they are essentially a sack of staggering slutbucket primed for any type of porking, but the fella has no right to be in such a state and must be able to consciously make a decision and ascertain whether his intended actions would be deemed as criminal or not.

The guy has been made an example of, no doubt about it, I think he could maybe have got off with better representation.

If he was loyal to his Mrs, he wouldn't have shagged that tramp and he'd be fine, that's the moral of the story for me.

OH DEAR <doh> He's questioning a criminal trial on the bases of somebody elses assessment of the case notes. What a ****ing idiot!<doh><laugh>

Ched Evans: Steve Bruce questions rape conviction
Hull City boss Steve Bruce has questioned the conviction of rapist Ched Evans and says the footballer should be given a chance to play again.

Evans, who was convicted in 2012, was released from prison in October and saw a move to Oldham collapse this week.

The 26-year-old has been refused the right to appeal, but the Criminal Cases Review Commission is studying his case.

"I might be upsetting people but there is a question of the rape and how he's been convicted by a jury," said Bruce.

"When you look at the evidence, it is there for appeal.

"It has divided opinion of course. When you look at the case in detail - and I don't think most people have really, because they have just seen Ched Evans as a convicted rapist - but when you look at the case and the evidence then certainly Ched has got a case."

Bruce said he had spoken to Latics chairman Simon Corney and offered his support before the League One side ended their attempt to sign the Welsh striker on Thursday.

"I spoke to Simon. In my mind he has looked at the case and evidence and he was of the opinion to give the kid a chance," added Bruce. "I'm a big believer that if you have done your time, you've done your time. Everyone deserves a second chance."

Evans served half of a five-year sentence - the normal point of release - for the rape and was released on licence, which runs until the end of the five years.

League One side Oldham had said there was an "80% chance" of signing the former Wales international, before negotiations ended after death threats were made to club employees and sponsors threatened to withdraw their support.

Evans's former club Sheffield United also retracted an offer for him to use their training facilities following criticism from fans and sponsors.

Not greatly sure Mr Bruce would have the same opinion if it was his daughter that had been involved. Hey ho

I have no doubt that he is guilty of being unfaithful to his Mrs mate, but that is not a criminal offence though, and I dare bet that there are stacks of footballers who have done the same..
He was found guilty by a court of law and has served the time that the law have saw fit. Why then should the social media mob have the power to punish him further?
As a footnote, I firmly believe that this conviction will be overturned by the appeal court, as the evidence he was convicted on is shaky to say the least.

I don't think either of the things, the cheating or the "Rape" was a criminal offence mate, the rape is just the result of some slag who's changed her mind after letting two blokes plough her, but the technicality got a conviction and he's a guilty man, no two ways about it. For this to be overturned, it would be saying as long as the girl is pissed enough, any man has a get out of jail free (literally) card.

The only reason I mention the cheating part, is because that's the reason I have no sympathy for him. If he didn't have a girlfriend I'd probably think he's been hard done by, but under his circumstances, I can't help but think he got what was coming to him for not being able to keep his cock in his pants.

I don't believe that's correct but I'm sure you wouldn't make such a claim, about people on here, without being able to provide proof.

Perhaps you'd be kind enough to name the guilty parties .................

You can put me down as one who thinks he's innocent. Have a look at http://www.chedevans.com for some detail about the case. Obviously it's going to be only one side of the argument, but I can't see how what he did could be classed as rape based on what's shown there. Stupid bad behaviour yes, rape no.

I can't say that sympathy is a word what comes to mind with Evens as he comes across as a pretty ****ty person. However, that is no excuse for the mob rule witch hunt that is preventing him getting employment..[/QUOTE]

I seen him in town today actually, asked him the best way to Oldham, he replied "By the throat works best for me".

He then told me the rumours linking him with a move to Liverpool are complete rubbish, he doesn't wish to tarnish his reputation any more.
