Humberside is a geographical term....East Yorkshire is a Riding of Yorkshire, an Administrative area (but is also a geographical term).
Mates of mine live in Dunston, Tyne and Wear, but geographically, they live on Tyneside.
Hull is on Humberside (as are Hessle and Barton - on - Humber), geographically, but is also in East Yorkshire, even though it is a City and is self-governing.
It's all effin confusing!
I've been complaining about that on the matchworn shirts since I saw the pictures of Adebola's goal last week. It's just adidas giving us another ****tily put together shirt after the poor quality material of the home kit (never got close enough to an away kit to feel it) and the two tone amber piping on the away kit. They really have been a disgrace as a supposed topline kit supplier so far.
You're not defending the idea of Humberside are you? Yes there is a police force but that doesn't make it a real county. It was made up by stupid people for no good reason and quickly abolished and changed back to East Yorkshire as it was originally and should have been all along.
