Very disappointed. The tackle from behind where you take the man and the ball is apparently still legal, and MKDONS made the most of it Reeves was a major disappointment, Billy Clarke gives much more to the team.
Sorry Super, you were right. We were so dominant in the first half, we should have taken some terrific chances. Could have been 3-0 up at HT. Second half was much more even, but the result was a bit harsh. However it's not a disaster, merely a set-back. Our overall performance, though not flawless, was far from poor. It was a dramatic and exciting game.
Sounds like one of those games mate, but it can also go back to the lack of depth upfront. Get Best signed up until January, MK has Agard to bring on and we had Dodoo and KAG.
I thought MKDONS were a very cynical team, pushing a weak ref as far as they could. Reeves got battered early on, and this may have affected him. They had several players booked, could have been more, but for the ref's habit of talking to players instead of booking them.
This is not sour grapes but the Referee was awful. Reeves was fouled on the halfway line for their first goal and it was not a penalty. I lost count of the number of fouls MK gave away. Leon Best, I heard will be signing next week.
That's how I saw it. MKD realised the ref was lenient, a bit like the Leeds of old, and used it. A tough, physical game, but my MOM was the smallest player, DaSilva.
Just watched the highlights on Sky, what was the Manager talking about?? It was a clear penalty and Kashi was nowhere near the ball when he caught their player. Totally unnecessary challenge on their player what was Kash thinking of? PS The RSPCA should tell the Manager that he can never own a cat... it seems that if he has a bad day at the office he would give it a good kicking
For a fixture not previously known for its high tension levels, yesterday's clash with MK Dons was surprisingly dramatic. There were several minor spats and players crowding the referee, who did not cope very well with the situation. At half-time I was convinced there would be at least one red card before the final whistle. The niggles and passion added to the entertainment value, and the game was never dull. If Karl Robinson is getting his knickers in a public twist I'm not entirely surprised. It's probably a mixture of him getting over excited, his genuine and understandable annoyance at perceived injustice, and his ongoing efforts to ingratiate himself with fans. I had a fairly good view of the penalty incident (though I have not seen it again on TV) and I thought at the time it looked a bit soft, but I could understand why the linesman flagged for it. Generally I thought our players showed plenty of strength and aggression for the first hour, during which time we should have done enough to secure the 3 points. KR did a good job of keeping them hungry during the three week league hiatus. But we seemed to have no answer to the bold substitutions the visitors made. Fosu was the only extra card we had to play, and he alone could not make enough difference. Having nothing better to fall back on than Dodoo and Karlan Ahearne-Grant is now costing us the chance to rescue wayward situations.
The penalty was soft, but no idea why a leg came out when the guy is doing what we would want - moving away from goal and away from danger. Tired mind and legs I guess.
I agree. I'm not sure what Aribo and Dijksteel are doing on the bench. Aribo was supposed to be the "New Vieira", yet KR doesn't trust him enough to bring him on when a midfielder is knackered. Both our substitutions were sensible, but if you discount the players KR doesn't trust at all, our squad is tiny, not even big enough to have 7 subs.
Did I imagine it, or did the ref book their no. 18 for a foul on Ricky Holmes, when the real culprit was their no.2, who was already on a yellow?
