Swansea City midfielder Jack Evans has joined Pafos FC on a season-long loan, subject to international clearance.

The move sees the 22-year-old reunited with former Swansea under-23 coaches Cameron Toshack and Gary Richards, who joined the Cypriot club halfway through last term.

Evans made his first-team bow for the Swans last season, featuring in the Carabao Cup win over Cambridge United.

Bersant Celina has joined French top-flight side Dijon from Swansea City for an undisclosed fee, subject to international clearance.

The Kosovo international makes the move to the Ligue 1 outfit following two seasons in SA1, making 79 appearances and scoring 10 goals during that time.

The 24-year-old joined the Swans from Manchester City in August 2018, and featured prominently under Graham Potter as he scored eight goals in 43 appearances in all competitions.

The most memorable of those goals came in Swansea’s thrilling FA Cup quarter-final tie against his old club in March 2019.

Celina found game time harder to come by over the latter stages of the 2019-20 season, but still ended the campaign with 37 appearances to his name.

Everyone at Swansea City wishes Bersant the best in his future career.

So Cooper has offloaded our most creative player - a player who he seems to have found difficult to manage, so the easy route has been taken ......

Time will tell if this was the right decision<cheers>
The rationale explained:
“We wish Bersant well in his next challenge. The rationale behind the decision was that it was a football and a financial decision. He didn’t play too much at the latter end of last season. He wanted to play more. I couldn’t guarantee the amount of games maybe he would have wanted. I’m not saying he wouldn’t have got them, I just couldn’t guarantee it. The interest came from France and hopefully he can get games out there and the club have got a good fee for him.”

I think we're all hoping there's some re investment

Reinvest money?
“I hope so. We definitely need some players. We are working on some things but nothing concrete at the moment. We’re certainly going to be bringing players in.

“I haven’t been told in black and white that I’ll be using Bersant’s money. We’re in a difficult financial situation because of the Covid-19 period and no fans coming in. We’re still being very careful. There’s no guarantees of when we’ll be back to normal. We aren’t going to be buying loads of players but there is an opportunity to bring some in if the right deal is there to be done.”

Reading between the lines - we need to generate transfer income and I can’t manage/trust such a creative player?

A bit like Gats ditching Hook?
