My thoughts too. Fer can walk away for nothing in June. The only bargaining tool the Board have is that he has stated he wants to stay here. It would have to be an expensive contract to keep him.

Well with all those inept transfers of Jinx over the last 3 seasons, I've said before that we are paying for that now, as an example Gomis signing on fee and wages was complete lunacy by bignose, then there was Baston, Messa, Clueless, Carol, Ayew Brothers, etc, etc. a club of our size paying out £100 million on wages is utterly ludicrous.

The self awarded ' Honours Degree in Hindsight '. If you are craving a football related qualification, it's the one to go for.
Much coveted by your average football follower, as there are no classes to attend; no essays to write; no exams to sit. No real knowledge about anything worthwhile is required. Everyone's a winner, even losers.
With the award safely tucked away, it's a real doddle to look back and criticise.
At the time, however, i.e., pre hindsight, all the signings made perfect sense. Viz, we have all this free money, let's get it spent.
