I've not read that he failed anywhere. Who decides when a player has failed ? I've been reading only positive things about him. Other than here, of course, where constant whingeing is the only thing on offer.
Isnt being let go by Cardiff, because he cant defend and being let go by a poor Rangers whose squad he cant get in a fail then or is it a sign of success. I am not sure. I suppose it is open to interpretation.

I seem to recall that we signed David Giles from Wrexham who had signed him from Cardiff.

He did pretty well for us.

Ok - I’m not suggesting that Declan is as good as Giles was, but let’s give him a chance.

Yes - I’m not totally enamoured with this ‘on paper’ but....

If Warnock moved him on it's probably because he didn't suit the hoof ball style that he prefers. Any player who Warnock gets rid of, sits on a high plateau as far as I'm concerned.
So what is his excuse for not getting into the Rangers squad now. dint fit their way either I suppose or maybe not quite good enough. I hope he is a success I don't care who he has played for before, but surely this is not a signing that excites anyone but apparently you.

I suppose my question is

“Is Declan a Potter signing or a Huw signing?”

If he cost next to **** all then you can guarantee it is a Yank/big nose signing. Taff I say I hope he does well, but I cant imagine the 20000 or so fans going to the game Saturday will be getting excited about seeing him in the squad, most wont know who the **** he is.

Here we go again. Another post making a completely erroneous statement. Please point out where I have stated that I am excited by this signing.
There is a sad tendency for certain posters to make false statements. I do wish you wouldn't. It's juvenile. Just respond to what is WRITTEN, and not what you read into it to suit whatever agenda you may have,

Just how many Swans' fans' knew who " the **** " Michu was ?

IMO it's called debate or having an opinion

Agree and he'll get my support should he play but my gripe is we bought him because he was cheap , we need a Defensive midfielder , we need another striker , we need another centre half , it's a long hard physical season in front of us and that squad is too lightweight in too many areas to think we're going to go through it unscathed .Naughton isn't going anywhere by the looks of it so he may slot into the back 3 if that's Potters chosen formation then I trust him and with any other formation he choses to use, that is until my trust in him is becomes undeserved

Agreed - but after what’s gone on in the transfer window (so far) I can’t imagine 20,000 being there too often

"Debate " is fine, but reproducing other people's opinions and using them as your own, is not really having an " opinion ".

Let go by Cardiff because he wasn't Warnocks type of player, a wing back more than a full-back. He left Rangers because Gerrard put an ex-Liverpool right back at left back, then signed a Croatian world cup finalist left back so John, probably rightly, thought it time to go.

Lets give him a chance to prove himself, same chance we'll give all the other newbies and U23's who will break into the team. The Gers fans have seen him in action and liked what they saw.
