Not exactly true Phil, the owners chose to sell Siggy and not protect the club. They slapped the price tag on his head for personal gain instead of stating he was not for sale. We'll know at the end of the transfer window just how much of a threat the new owners pose to our club, but its not looking good so far.
To use an American analogy. You buy a Nascar, if you want it to win races you maintain and improve its performance with better parts. Or, you buy the car so you can harvest its parts. Instead of maintaining and improving it to be more competitive you strip out its expensive components replacing them with cheaper options hoping that the replacements are good enough to keep the car circulating at the back of the race so you still get your %age race fees.
Our owners, so far it seems, have bought us for scrap and are stripping out our expensive parts for profit. They are installing cheap replacements in the hope they can keep us ticking but no more. Problem is, I don't think they know what they're doing because already one replacement part, Bradley, almost blew us out of the race.
The fact we are selling our Turbo injector, Siggy, and so far have only replaced it with an unspecified part that doesn't even fit our engine so needs to be worked, machined and redesigned before it can even e installed, Mesa, makes me worry that they are either stupid, or couldn't care a jot about us and are prepared to break us so long as they can squeeze the max profit out of us.
The owners are leaving it very late to prove me wrong and redeem themselves. They have until the end of this window to show us who they are. They don't sell Siggy, fine, the sell and replace him with quality players, great, they sell him for any amount Siggy and don't replace him then we're up ****s creek.
