Ipswich have signed Ali Al-Hamad from Wimbledon, a former Swans youth player. It will be interesting to see how that works out, if I remember correctly all he wanted was to go out and play football which Swansea seemed reluctant to let him do. Is this something we are going to regret, only time will tell.
Done deal Swansea City has completed the loan signing of Charles Sagoe Jr from Arsenal for the remainder of the 2023-24 season, subject to international clearance. The 19-year-old forward will add to head coach Luke Williams’ options in the final third, providing width and pace in attacking areas. Sagoe Jr will wear the number 24 shirt for the Swans. He arrives at the Swansea.com Stadium having made his senior debut for the Gunners in an Carabao Cup clash with Brentford earlier this season. Previously on the books at Fulham, he joined Arsenal in 2015 and appeared in the EFL Trophy for their under-21 side in recent seasons. He was also an unused substitute in their Europa League game at Sporting Lisbon in March of last year. Let’s hope that we receive our just desserts from this deal …..
Swansea City are set to sign Norwich City'sPrzemysław Płacheta, according to journalist Paddy Davitt on X. The 25-year-old Polish winger was also subject to transfer interest from fellow Championship side Rotherham United last week, according to reports from the Pink Un. The winger has less than six months left on his deal at Carrow Road and the club have told him he's free to leave this month as the Canaries look to secure a transfer fee for the Poland international. The left-sided player is able to play both as a left-back and a winger, with his pace making him a threat to opposition defenders.
Well the intent is clear - two wingers and a striker! I'm all in for that, just one nagging doubt... where's the bleedin' defence?!
Trying to offload as well …. One of Swansea City’s summer transfer signings has today rejected a move to FC Schalke with the Swans looking to move the player on after he failed to secure any regular football in SA1. It is a pretty damming statement on one of our summer signings who was said to be attracting interest from home and abroad on this deadline day as the Swans looked to move him on. But reports from Schalke this evening say that although they wanted to bring in Pedersen he rejected the deal. Whether Pedersen still has options available from the other clubs interested remains to be seen.
