In the wake of Clement's becoming Manager. there was much talk of who he will attract to The Liberty from the long list of top European teams that he had been associated with.
To date, nothing has materialised along that route.
Or have I missed something ?

.I dont want us saying we are looking at Non league players as our main targets when we know we need 4 or 5 big quality players first and foremost......Nothing has changed in our 7th season that we were doing in our first season...
We don't know who we've targeted yet as our supposed targets are made up by the press. I think the non league player and the young Dutch player some have mentioned are probably meant for the under 23's as they need strengthening because of the players we have released. The transfer window only opened last week and and if we are looking at out of contract players their contracts tend to end on 30th June. Very few players been signed by anyone yet.

Like i say nothing has changed and as sure as eggs are eggs Huw holds the purse strings and he is in lower league mode like always.....He is a hindrance to us ever moving forward as a premiership team and we know what will happen just like always....We will leave everything to the last week when he will let go for a profit Gylfi and Llorente and we will panic buy rubbish like Baston who if he was any good then he would have been snapped up early by other clubs....After surviving by the skin of our teeth and some poor seasons previous we should have learned our lesson by now.......Jenkins as arrogant as ever has not and we will be at the wrong end again with i feel an even weaker side once our two star players leave......We should be speculating too accumulate in our 7th season not going backwards that Huw is taking us....

Reactions: trundles left foot
Of course spending it wisely is a better option. I have never said it isn't, what we have done in recent years is not spent massive and when we have spent still not spent it wisely, Probably January has been our only real successful window in the last couple of seasons, It is early days yet and I hope we are sensible, but we have to start thinking like a PL club, I still believe that HJ thinks he can keep unearthing cheap stars and some will happen and work. Mawson springs to mind. But it will eventually bite you on the back side. Just my opinion.

It bit us on the arse last season, we were very lucky to get away with it.

still waiting as are we all, on another note, far too many foreigners in the PL, england had 5 who cant even get a regular gig for their club

Shades of Josh McEachran.
Rodgers loaned him from Chelsea at a cost of £1,400,000.00, and he didn't play many minutes.
I don't really like this type of deal.
Very true, talking about Mceachran this morning, But, this guy has played a lot now in a tidy league (not brilliant) scored a few and learnt in his early days here. Just get the impression more about him than Mceachran, could be miles off, just a feeling.

It’s perhaps fair to say that the striker may not be suited to the physicality of the Premier League and he is clearly capable of doing a job in La Liga, thus a return to Spain’s top flight may beckon. Villarreal are said to be monitoring Baston’s situation and it’s likely we’ve sign the last of the 24-year-old at the Liberty.

Another player we’d like to see head for the exit door is Jordi Amat. The centre-back’s campaign was littered with mistakes and his incompetence finally cost him when he was frozen out due to the flourishing partnership between Alfie Mawson and Fredico Fernandez. In truth, Amat has struggled since he was left to fill the void by Ashley Williams following his transfer to Everton.

Elsewhere in defence, Mike van der Hoorn should also move on. The centre-back made little to no impact in the Swans back line and was limited to just eight appearances, failing to impress Francesco Guidolin, Bob Bradley or Paul Clement. Much like Amat, the solid partnsership striked up between Mawson and Fernnadez has seen him frozen out. Of course, van der Hoorn could stay as back up or stay to fight for his place, however, he’s something more of a squad player as opposed to a first-team player.

Jefferson Montero is another summer signing that may benefit from leaving South Wales. The winger started just two games for the Swans last season, spending the rest of the campaign as a substitute. Admittedly, his season did come to premature end having picked up a knock but still, Montero underperformed and failed to make an impact when did grace the pitch. Club America are rumoured to be interested in acquring the services of 27-year-old and Liga MX is a league Montero is familiar with.

We had high hopes for Montero and Baston in particular and it’s a shame things have not worked out. Amat is a player we’d say goodbye to with a heavy heart, however, it is a move that would prove mutually beneficial. The centre-back has had his day at the Liberty and has been a good servant to the club, even filling it at right-back when called upon, though now it’s time to say farewe
