Very disappointed in some of the players on the pitch. Johnson and Downing have done poorly, Enrique hasn't been up to speed, and the rest barring Coutinho and Sturridge have just slowed down our play. We dictate tempo but aren't doing enough with it - we're playing up slowly, giving them time to get defenders back. Johnson honestly does my ****ing head in when he cuts in and shoots. Worse than Robben he is sometimes.
Don't care, want to see us avoid injuries. Need a bit of a wake up call before next Saturday too, to help avoid complacency.
Yes as do most teams below the mid point in the prem. We need to learn how to break teams down, be clinical and not telegraph every ****ing pass. We're so slow. In addition we've been sloppy today, Coutinho's gone right off the boil since HT

Toure or Downing for me. Glad we had a proper test before we went in to the new season, they were decent Celtic on and off the ball. On another day we would of bagged a few goals but it wasn't to be. Concerned about how inconsistent both Johnson and Enrique are, you can't go in to the season with two fullbacks who both blow hot and cold! Would like to see Sturridge play more on the shoulder of the defender opposed to dropping deep as he seems to do. But overall It's been a great preseason and roll on Saturday!
Meh. The odds were that at least one pre season game would be ****. Shame it had to be the last one with the most amount of prestige surrounding the game but there you go. Enrique, Johnson, Downing, Wisdom particularly poor, but not poor enough to get angry about. Overall 7 games, 6 wins and 1 loss, with only one poor performance in the bunch. Not bad. Maybe it'll make sure the players have their heads well and truly screwed on to ward against complacency next week too.
Enrique and Johnson (again, wasteful and selfish on always cutting and shooting) were poor, Gerrard was anonymous, Allen didn't do much... Poor performance. Good kicking up the arse needed for that.
Liverpool gave our kids a nice run out, maybe some of them can make the breakthrough into the 1st team squad.
I say use it as a proper preseason and start practicing our excuses, reckon all this was Suarez's fault Thought we started well but the defensive tactics (nowt wrong with that btw) took it out of us. I believe a lot of teams will come to Afield and play like that as they normally do - we need to find a way through those sorts of teams - tbf thought Toures goal should have stood no daylight for me. Have we signed Sissoko?

Well played Celtic. I hate the very core of your club (as I do Rangers before you start!) but your players showed a level of commitment that Liverpool lacked. Before a ball was kicked it looked as though Rodgers had instructed them to avoid injury at all cost. I can't understand why we let the opposition dictate the pace of the game. When we did inject pace we created chances. But too often we slowed it all down and played in front of 8 men protecting the goal - and then wondered why we couldn't find space. Why was Gerrard playing so deep? If we are selling Downing then why did we play him today? Wisdom got taught a lesson today and I hope he now understands that he doesn't know everything and that some players are bigger and stronger.
Sturridge did well - I think he should be a centerpiece playing off the shoulder of the defender. Him and Coutinho have a great understanding already despite both having arrived in January. Fair play to Celtic though - If that is the youth team, they've got a great chance at doing something decent in Europe this year.
