You can slag Celtic all you want but what you fail too understand is that to play for Celtic you need to be a winner. Second may as well be last. Liverpool use to be like that but then it became as long as benitez got you a top 4 finish you accepted it.

If you want to come on here acting the **** then fine, but at least make it challenging and/or interesting. The "Liverpool are ****" debate doesn't really work when most Liverpool fans on here already know and (to a degree) accept it <doh>

Didn't say you're **** just that you have let your standards slip. Liverpool have lost that edge, and Man u will be the same now that fergie is gone. Anfield ain't even a fortress anymore.

Realistically this is your best chance to mount a challenge. City and chelsea are full of mercenaries and united have lost that winners mentality.

We know the standards have slipped but thats what happens when you get cowboy owners that tear the club apart which are then followed by more owners that go at it like a bull at a gate (I like FSG but far too much trust resulting in too much money spent at the start).

As for a realistic title challenge this year, not a chance in hell! We have a massive challenge on to get top four never mind anything else.
 
I'm not sure what Celtic fans gain by coming on here to argue with people for the sake of arguing.

Sky make you believe its all about money yet Celtic beat barcelona last year and we have no money. All these stupid young ones whose knoweledge of football comes from the stupid sky pundits. What you need is the right man in charge and Rodgers aint him.

You know what country to look at for your next manager. The one who keeps on producing winners.

You beat them once <doh>
One result means nothing... Lots of teams with no money have beaten teams with more money.. doesn't make them all of a sudden better. Money clearly means a lot, who are the 3 most successful sides over last 10 years in Enland. United, City & Chelsea. 2 teams with loads of money and the other which has built up a team using money earned through success and good marketing.

2 best teams in Spain? Barca & Madrid, the most valuable 2 teams in the World, along with Bayern who won the treble last year.

Face it, money talks and without it, winning anything is near on impossible. You get the odd exception here and there but in general the richest teams do the best.

Bit harsh to blame Downing there IMO. Most of us moan about him disappearing and not getting stuck in, he didn't hide from that challenge, he went for it and was unlucky.
 
cartman, get back on your cart and ****-off until you learn some sense. Your team did very well today but that's all. You play in a Mickey Mouse league. You had your best run in Europe for years and it was a one-off. So don't come here giving it large.

Nobody here is going to tell you that Liverpool are presently world-beaters. We are improving as a footballing side but we are far from the finished article. But that is whilst we are competing in arguably the best league in the world. The Premiership is a league that Celtic would find difficult to survive in. That's harsh but it is the truth.

So enjoy your one-off's, you deserve them as a side but no more than that.
 
Coutinho just seems to square the defenders up then drop the shoulder and shimmy past them so easily!

Sturridge seems to be dropping too deep and not getting into the box as much as he should but maybe put that down to it being his first game back.

Toure looks like he's much more of a threat in the air from our corners/free kicks than any defender we've had since Hyypia.

City aren't the best team in the World because Bayern/Madrid/Barca are all about as rich as them but have also had 10 years of building their squads. Unfortunately, football is very much played on the balance sheet these days.

The only way Chelsea won it was by having an owner pump millions in, same with City.

The only way Celtic win the league every year is because they're by far the richest team in Scotland and their nearest competition got smashed 6-0 recently in a European game <doh>

Parkhead is a fortress because you normally play minnows and when you play decent sides you play defensively AT HOME AND AWAY.

If you can't realise that then you've lost even the few brains that you were born with!

Fck me was nice to Liverpool early in this thread , today we had our reserves / youths and at the end ball bhoys out there!! Our team 4 million yours team 100 million , proud of my team , why r u sticking with that manager , need a winner like Lennon !!!

Just seen highlights and it could have been a reply of some of our games last year.all the chances,keeper plays really well and we are wasteful. As well as an offside goal. So nothing's changed then?
