so basically Sigurdsson and Caulker are saying that the new man has talked to them and basically been respectful...Bale when signing his new extension was aware of AVB coming in..didnt stop him either. fuk off chelsea and fuk off Lampard..who was obviously sulking because his time was up under AVB...schit strirring basterds.
I'm not sure that you can really blame the players in that situation either, Dona. It seems to me like Villas-Boas was given an aim (to clear out the older players at Chelsea), the players found out and they didn't think that was best for them, so they didn't give 100%. Not really a surprise.
what baffles me is he was given orders from the top..so when he started to carry them out..then he got betrayed by those who gave him the job in hand..and that is why i have an issue with thier sincerity...the biggest twat wins..i.e the players..thats why i do blame the players...the way they switched off whilst happily picking up their wages.....AVB was the scapegoat for that coward russians plan..i tell you now if any player made it obvious that he will not put on a show for the paying fans due to his issue with someone at the club then i would be cursing that basterd every single week for robbing me of my hard earned cash...i can never side with such a mentality regardless of the trophies this player may help my club to win.
I Don't think Caulker is ready for you lot yet... We could always borrow him for another season and get him fully up to speed for 2013/14
The surprise is, that if Abramovich brought him in to do it, why didn't he back him when he went about doing it? The galling thing is, it worked out for the gobshites in the end with the 2 cups, I'll bet JT,FL, DD and AC all convinced RA personally they could still do it, AVB instantly undermined. EDIT - Should have carried on reading the thread, I've just read Spurlock's post and he's covered it.
I think so too Luke, won't happen much if we do land Vertonghen, he may be a starter in the EL/cup games though, which I have no doubt will be taken more seriously, and the players will be given the importance of playing those matches.
Notso..i really want us to go for the Europa..it will feel like the Spurs we all fell in love with this season if we couls bring some european magic to our club....despite ose that knock the europa it is a hell of a trophy just ask Atletico who won it last year or the fans of Porto.
Redknapp openly derided last seasons EL as a hindrance, then asked the likes of Niko and JD to play their best in it, having been highly motivated hearing that like everyone else. I'd like to see us give it a go aswell.
Good luck to the lad, he was superb for the swans last season and deserves his shot at a place next season. But would love him back with us, but alas it's looking very unlikely now.
Hopefully AVB will be able to motivate Benny and anyothers who didn't enjoy their Europa League campaign last season, if called upon. We should be better positioned next season with a more comeptitive first and second 11 with say the difference between Sigurdsson and VDV less than playing Kane like last season and any two of Caulker/Kaboul/Dawson/Vertonghen(touch wood) being very capable and more competitive. I still think we're better off prioritising the league early on and allowing players like Naughton, Sig, Caulker and (possibly) Fryers to settle in playing with a more mixed strength team in the early stages of the Europa.
