Great stuff!

The news just gets better and better!

it has been a good week or so hasn't it?

Bale contract
Manager (although some won't see that as good)
Gylfi
RvP
Caulker

So, something must go wrong. I am touching wood (stop sniggering at the back)

If what SOS has had to say is true, there could be amazing news to come. Just praying that the "real madrid deal" is higuain. That would just be incredible.

It could be worse, you could be touching cloth.

Great news and it's thoroughly deserved.
He seems to have got his head down and worked hard for three seasons now, just to get his chance in the first team squad, so it's good to see that being rewarded.

His attitude to each loan has been excellent, by all reports, so I'm hoping that he can make a seamless transition and take up King's mantle.
It's a massive ask, but he seems like a very talented young player.

was his contract running out? Or has he just been given a pay rise? If the latter, surely hints at a bit of game time this season

With the club stating the importance of youth and his superb displays on loan I would expect him to get some game time this season especially in the cups at the very least

Well, it would be strange if King emerged just in time to replace Judas and then Caulker emerged just in time to replace King, with bugger all emerging in between.

Positive stuff from Caulker to Spurs TV Online about Villas-Boas and his aims for this season:

"I have been here since I was 15. I worked my way through and hopefully this is the year I get my opportunity and it's up to me to take it.
"I have just had a chat with the manager. It's nice to see that I am in his plans. It's nice to hear I have his confidence and his backing so I am looking forward to next season.
"I will have to work hard this year. There are some fantastic centre halves so it's not going to be an easy ride but I have confidence and hopefully with a bit of hard work it will pay off.
