First and foremost this is a football forum. During Bengals lengthy spell on this forum, I think I remember him making one post related to football, and that was about his Spurs idols. He came on here purely to pick squabbles with certain posters and spread it over most the threads. His squabbles weren't even football related, more often than not it was correcting punctuation or criticising somebody for mocking the disabled whilst calling them a spag.
He wasn't just an annoyance, he was a complete and utter dipshit.
At least patty tries to contribute to the football side, he's just a genuine idiot. He gets sympathetic/tolerant leeway. There's a massive difference between the two.

Can't say that I agree with anyone being totally banned, there's always the ignore function if posts make your eyes bleed that badly.
****stalk is a forum that I expect to see bans on, not so much on here.
None of our posters are permanently banned without the agreement of all the moderators, in Bengals case, another moderator took the lead on trying to get him to change his ways, as we quite obviously didn't get on and we thought it better that I took a step back. The moderator who took the lead could not have been any more reasonable, but it all fell on deaf ears.
It's all well and good people saying nobody should be permanently banned, but the moderators on here are all volunteers and it's not reasonable to expect them to have to waste hours dealing with the fallout due to the actions of a single poster.
Not only does it cause us problems, but when someone is reporting other people's posts on almost a daily basis, those reports go to every moderator on every board on the site and we have a responsibility to not have them driven mad either.
It's a very rare occurrence and was absolutely warranted in this case.
