Surely must be a better option than the likes of Jay Bothroyd and Kevin Doyle who get linked with us on a frequent basis.

Not had his best season for West Ham but the lad has proved in the past he does have some quality and with West Ham's relagation from the premier league yesterday he will be available for a decent fee.
 
I think theyd want atleast £6m for him, and id rather take Bothroyd for free then use that 6m to go after someone in the £12-15m bracket. If we wanted a striker from west ham I think demba ba is far superior but can't pass a medical so his chances of coming here are slim
 
carlto cole is absolute pap.

**** i'd rather we bought doyle than him, and that's saying something...

Carlton Cole, is someone havin a laugh. This guy misses more sitters than Bent. I heard he couldnt score in a knockin shop with a 50 pound note wrapped round his bell-end.
 
Ba is the man if we go to West Ham.

Apparently they have only paid a down-payment to Hoffenheim, so we could just pick up the remainder of the deal.

Ba has been mightily impressive when i've seen him, he could be the man, as the dreams of Gignacs and Falcaos and Hulks died with our season in February.
 
He lacks the stomach for it when the turd hits the fan. I'm not sure we are gonna be able to carry passengers next year! I must be in the minority on Doyle cos I think the lad could be a hit. He doesn't exactly get millions of chances per game at Wolves and still pops up with a few goals and leads the line well.
 
if were after 3 maybe 4 strikers, their not all going to be world beaters, when we need to strengthen in other areas as well unless short is putting up sum real coin which i don't think he will.

I like Doyle as well mate, people are focusing too much on goals per game.

We cannot buy another Bent, so we want a player who will combine well with Gyan, and options off the bench.

Doyle is unselfish and grafts, he'll make space for Gyan, Ba or Bothroyd would be a great alternative to change it, or as first 11 against the more physical sides.

There isn't a striker on the planet that willguarantee 20 goals a season that we can get at the minute, thats a fact, whether we like it or not.
