what a load of crap abt Harper.. if you watch him specifically he's integral to the team, little passes, links up play he gels the team.. not captain material though, neither is Dawson.. Give it to Gerrard and sign him.

Give it to Gerrard, it might sway him into moving to us permanently if he still fancies Cardiff as an option next season.

If it's given to Harper it means that we have to play him 90 mins every game (unless you take last seasons captain farce into question). He had a decent game yesterday but the was an exception although he does talk a lot, especially to the ref. Dawson is not vocal enough, tends to let his marker go too often and needs competition. Gerrard is probably the natural captain and, as metioned, it may give him incentive to sign permenantly next season but it may also raise Cardiff's valuation or generate other interest.

im not sure about this has to leave to look after his family, hes been earning 18k a week for 2 years, i dnt think hel be on the dole whenhe retires..as for the captains role, im not sure, i like koren, but i agree about leading by example, there where times yesterday qpr where only 5 or 6 feet away from him, and he made no effort to chase them back, thats not a guy you want leading you into battle....i think chester is a contender, made a couple of crunching tackles yesterday, maybe im old fashioned, but thats the sort of player you want as captain....possibly gerrard if he signed
