Think this really says more about Capello's views of our chances in the Euros than his view of the Terry treatment. His already damaged reputation was about to take another kicking, seizes the opportunity to get out early, sacrifices 6 months pay. Hopefully this will take national expectations down to sub zero, where they should be. Perhaps someone will now decide its not too bright to have the team hotel a long flight from all the group games. Ideal opportunity to get rid of the dead wood, gives the kids a go with no pressure. Excellent (potential) result.

As I said he saw this as a way out and he took it...Capello maneuvered this to his advantage

WOW. Don't know who is the right man for the job. As an Irishman i always felt that what England really needed was a man-manager. A Martin O Neill type manager. Hoddle, SGE ,McClaren, Capello etc etc all bad choices IMO. Really don't know where England go from here. Who is available? Not so sure that Pearce is the man for the job. WOW. Best of luck guys, unlike us, the players are there.
