When Novo was getting death threats,,,bullets in post...cars trashed...house vandalized...address posted on line...

Lennon walks the walk,he'll have to learn to "ride it" when it gets rough..

One punch in the face or a flurry of punches to the face? And a few kicks for good measure?

This isn't whataboutery. I found the treatment of Novo to be reprehensible I can't condone it. It just isn't anything like on this scale.

You already knew that thought didn't you?
 
Another moron who basically says Lennon brought all of this on himself?

1: Did Novo bring it on himself ?
2: Is Diouf now "fair game" for death threats?

If I said "any" player deserves all he gets then I would begin to seriously doubt my humanity. I have never condoned any threats to Referees or players nor would I, nor would any decent human being.

There's no way anyone can condone death threats. No way. But (there's alway one eh) you wouldn't jump in and swim in Great White Territory and expect to get away with it Scot free. Also the people that had your back and blessed your behaviour would have no right to complain about the sharks killing you either!

There's ****ing moronic scum out there that will react to behaviour of role models and rivals to them. Why give them ammo to carry out these schemes? This applies to both sides BTW!

Hate figures who behave in the manner he and Novo do. I don't think I need to elaborate on that but I'm not condoning these arseholes. Simple fact is nothing excuses the death threats. I'd didn't write that last night looking for a barney. Unfortunately there are edjits who'll behave in the manner they did when it looks like players and management themselves are losing the plot. If you want to think hatred hasn't spilled on to pitch the past few months then fine. I don't think I've anything left to say and I'll just leave this alone.
 
Can someone tell me what Paddy McCourt did to receive death threats?

People keep saying Lennon is to blame because of his behaviour but Paddy has done nothing to upset fans of any other club yet he got bullets sent to him in the post as well.

That's the question that the likes of the OP halfwit refuses to answer.

Hate figure? Lennon became a hate figure by signing a piece of paper - his Celtic contract. From that day on he has faced this ****e - and its been getting worse. He faced no abuse before then, hell many an NI fan probably cheered him up until that point. Then with a flick of a pen the first death threats arrived.

He's actually done very little other than win (on the main) against your mob.

Just to edit being a lary **** doesnt count. Ferguson was a hateful figure too - didnt have to live like Lennon though

Even Novo - yes there were bampots who posted online threats but they were condemned by the great majority of celtic fans.....and the media made a big thing about the threats against him....can the same be said about lennon?

Right on the money Anp. You know i'm actually embarrassed to be Scottish at times an none moreso than now.

NOTHING, absolutel NOTHING, Lennon has ever done justifies the threats he has received, it's all down to sectarian bigotry nothing more, and anyone who deos not see that is a fool or blind or ignorant or a combonation of all 3. Wake up and smell the coffee for ****'s sake people.
 
I condemned the folk who sent pseudo death threats to Novo as much as the ones who sent pseudo death threats to Lennon. How can anyone condone it? We have to ask the questions to address these matters. Why do these people make themselves targets for madmen. Mostly because of their conduct and their lack of professionalism on the pitch/trackside at times.

You can criticise the Lennons and Novos for inflaming situs whilst condemning these gutter snakes sending these death threats.

As you said Dev it's embarrassing to be Scottish when this **** happens but the professionals need to do far more in the public eye to diffuse things.

I think they already have with Mccoust and Lennon burying the hatchet. I'm sure a truce has been made between the two and efforts to keep that truce without losing the passion!

I'm afraid I totally disagree Bollo, saying players bring in upon themselves is a bit like saying girls who dress provocatively are asking to be raped.
