Don't worry, Bellamy will be fine as long as no one tells the F.A. about the video of him and Krul....

And also the replays show the ref looking directly at the challenge and did nothing about it, nothing obscured his vision or anything

Sunderland V Everton, Webb is 5 yards away staring at the incident and still gives a penalty when video footage showes it definitley isn't. Cabaye should have been red carded, Colo's looked nasty cos of the blood but wasn't malicious, more of an accident.

The tackle was far worse than Bardsley's on Colo, and also worse than spearing's recent red and the wolves one which has recently been upheld by the fa. Collocini's elbow looked bad but I have only seen it once so can't really say for definite. We all know the FA normally have no balls with stuff like this so no doubt they'll get awaywith it but I am certain that if this was Cattermole then they would be making an example if him and he'd get a ban without doubt

No it wasn't. The fact you saw Colo's leg flex in that challenge says it all. He was extremely lucky to come out of that unscathed.

So the L'pool players leg didn't flex, did it not? Had Cabaye been any bigger the leg would have snapped entirely. Its not as easy to see but it does. Despite being 'planted' Colos momentum was easily dispersed, but Cabaye was on coming down on his leg.

However this shouldn't even be an issue as Tiote jumping in arm flailing all over should have in itself seen a card only a second earlier.

It was a 50/50 ball that both players went in for. Neither could pull out, it was a yellow at best.

No matter how this thread works out, I thought Bellemy had a class game, shame he had to go off. but maybe just as well for Newcastle, as Im sure the match ball for his mantlepiece would have been well recieved in the toon

Shame that when he went off he called Krul a "Big Dutch ****" too.

Cabaye's tackle I think was unintentional in the moment but I agree it was dangerous. Could definitely have seen red.

I think we all know there was nothing in the Coloccini incident, just one of these things, he's really not that type of man or player.

You are taking the piss. He didnt jump, he didn't stamp, he went for the ball just like Spearing did but Spearing got there first, both had studs up.

Sorry, who is taking the piss?

I wouldn't say it was a stamp, but he certainly had both feet off the ground. He was clearly trying to protect himself and by doing so raised his studs after the opportunity to get the ball had gone. It was bad on Spearings part as well, but he cleanly won the ball. I am by no means criticising Cabaye for it as these things are liable to happen. But because he didn't win the ball that means he was late to the tackle and therefore culpable for any foul as his momentum inevitably took him into Spearing. The reverse would be true had Cabaye got the ball only for Spearing to crash into him.
