Abeid and Guthrie can hold the fort i reckon as the 2 games are Villa and Blackburn where we are expected to win/get points. Spurs away even with a strong side we'd not have won imo

Cabaye's probably just pissed off that he's been fouled by that baldy **** for the umpteenth time and has a sort of 'get the **** off me you talentless bastard' look about him.

I think the FA need to be a lot more sure of these 'trial by TV' decisions – they certainly need to be a hell of a lot more clear cut than this one is!

Amazing – not a cat in hell's chance he would have been charged had he been A) English and crucially part of the England squad, B) Playing for a fashionable London team or more specifically Spurs/Arsenal/Chelsea

These cases aren't fair trials anyway because the people making the judgement are not shielded from the press witch hunt that is whipped up in the days after.
I've watched the replay a few times and you could make the case for it being deliberate (when slowed down) or accidental at normal speed. Crucial thing is, we don't play the matches in slow motion do we?

And if the FA are going to start trying to read the minds of players or guess at intent to referee retrospectively then they will get into territory where even the most sophisticated technology won't make their jobs any easier.

While we're reviewing that particular incident BTW – can the ref explain why a foul wasn't given against the Brighton player ON Cabaye to cause the clash? No attempt to play the ball, he's behind Johan and just charges through the back of him...
