Always liked Everton dating back to the 80s when they had Reid, Bracewell, Sharp etc. Their supporters are largely more balanced than Liverpool's but that's not saying much.
I hope they stay up for what it's worth but they look doomed - shades of us in 2017 when Davey Moyes was sitting on his hands, handing out contracts to all his old Everton mates

Alex Neil will be tonight frantically calling all his contacts to try and get in touch with the Everton board.

He was a canny full back but then just disappeared overnight. No idea what happened to him or where he went. Is he even managing or coaching anyone?

Think he's coaching at Everton. Possibly in the academy

Why on earth use the phrase 'Senior Men’s First Team Manager' ...

... it's like a Google translation from Portuguese.

I can see Everton doing a Sunderland if they go down. Obviously had to do something and changing manager is the easiest solution but even if they survive they’ll be in this position again next season because of how badly the clubs being ran. Hope Pickford leaves so he can excel at another club instead of trying to deal with that ****e.

Think he is a busted flush at PL level. If I was them, I'd be breaking the bank for Kompany. They have half a season and a week left of the transfer window. It's not a done deal yet

I said a few weeks ago that there were rumours that Spurs, Chelsea and Man U were interested in him, and on recent performances Lloris looks very shaky. It wouldn't surprise me if he went there as Lloris' replacement

The parallels between Everton now and when Sunderland were in the Premier league are obvious. An owner who spunks money up the wall on players, bought by desperate managers. Changing managers every two minutes and paying out fortunes to get rid of them. Players who are literally going through the motions and not putting a shift in. A club with no plan, direction and a constant toxic atmosphere both within the club and the fans. There is a cancer in that club, like there was in ours...It could get worse before it improves

    Very good points tbf.

There's a lot of parallels but I think they're in a much more serious position if they plummet.

Short was misguided but not an outright crook like whoever owns Everton, I think Moshiri is just a front tbh. The club's debts won't be written off if they attempt to sell and, let's be honest, who would possibly want to buy such a poisonous club.

The stadium is a massive drain on finances and a total distraction. The support is so self important and toxic towards the players whereas we did our best to support Sunderland even when things look bleak.

They're in a world of trouble that even avoiding relegation won't alter ...

... I really don't like Everton so perhaps a bit of wishful thinking but I hope they go down and keep going.
