He is a player who helped us into Europa league qualification, then a Europe League quarter final and then this year (apart from letting himself down in the first few games) has helped us into a situation of being (almost) guaranteed safety. He wasn't the only one but he played a massive part and for the majority of that time was our best player. Why wouldn't we wish him well? He wants to play Champions League football and he's good enough to play Champions League football and we aren't in a position to offer him that. I fail to see how he has in any way shafted us royally or otherwise (being French suspect he would have done it in a more republican style). In football players come and players go. We are all fickle and hypocritical over which ones we wish well and which ones we hold grudges against. I wish him well.

I mean how Crap must Ben arfa be if he can't get in the starting eleven.
Plus I can't believe Bardsley is in the same sentence as cayabe.

Oh righto a player refusing to play for you and throwing his toys out of the pram, to get his own way, which is as far away from you lot as possible, isn't shafting you!

Spurs showed the way to go with Bale. You try and keep him, but if you can't you get your replacements in first and finally sell second. Who are the mags going to get in now for the right price. Running short of time with a nice big sack of cash? It'll be Carroll in reverse if it's anyone. Overpaying for someone or spending the rest of the season without one of the best players in the squad?

.....and then apologising, taking the stick and performing on the pitch. Players wanting moves happens. He handled it wrong in the summer but right this time. He played wholeheartedly in every game, scoring two in his last game.

No arguments with that bit. While Tiote got the reputation Cabaye was the real dirty one. An assassin with an angel's face. The sort of player that opposition fans will often hate but got away with it more often than not.
 
Anyone else think Kebab going is not actually good for us? OK for the derby, of course, but then he's not made much of a difference in the last two. But we need the skunks to beat the other teams in the bottom half, since they're clearly not going down, and losing him won't exactly help.
