In January, serious enquiries for Rossi et al. may well have been the case, in more recent times I don't think we have made a single serious enquiry about any next level striker.
and I agree, premium prices are required, and I do think we have the money to do it, but now I don't think any of them would come near us as we have shown absolutely no ambition - which is why the likes of Pedroza Whitham and Ruiz think that they are the bees knees and will be our new signings and AnyBuyer & Parker think that we will bend over backwards to get hold of them.
To be honest, I'm of the opinion now that we should just say **** it for this season, buy no-one, sell Modric & Bale, let Harry take the England job, then totally rebuild next summer with a huge transfer kitty.
