the ads on kcfm do my head in and the endless bastardy jingles on both waste so much bloody time. i swear one day i will record both channels from the final whistle up to 6pm and see which has wasted most of my life with the endless crap they stick out. no wonder there isn't time for idiot phonecallers when they play ads or jingles repeatedly. and after analysing both i shall listen to neither again.
burnseys inability to realise that cant help falling in love is not the elvis version cost him the last few nanograms of respect.
I can't stand listening to Burnsy's inane comments so I dont and Swanny talks as though he is struggling to keep his job, but when he forgets that problem he's OK.
i think we should find ourselves lucky we have two stations the broadcast the match so we get a choice
Blunderside for me. At times I can't stand either Burns or Swan, and at ALL times I REALLY can't stand Lloyd, however I'd rather listen to the first two than the constant adverts & jingles on KCFM, should Lloyd make an unfortunate appearance the radio quickly gets muted/switched off, and if said appearance is during a City game them it's definitely a KCFM no brainer for me!
Burnsy is a decent guy with the club at heart at Humberside the rest are absolute dog turds who I despise to an inch of my life. I hate Gwilliam Lloyd (knows nothing about football and always coughing ans spluttering), Mike White is an idiot, thinks he's on talksport coming up with some nonsensical reason to text in and goes on about snooker all the time, Swanny, well a plank who got lucky in my opinion, he is a Leeds fan really mascarading as a City fan for work these days. Can't remember the other lads name who does Scunny but is interview style is bizare (thinks he's Paxman), however as Ian Barraclough clearly hates him I'll let him off. There's also the obligatory guests from Hull Daily Mail. Scunthorpe and Grimpby papers etc. Can't rember most of their names but Nick Wood should not be in their as he supports Leeds and his input on Hull City is dire. Then there's James ? Hull FC reporter and a clown, I hate his drown. Some Irish guy (Charlie ?) who does Rovers - another total waste of space. Pete Smurfwaite is OK too so all in all Burnsy and Smurfwaite are acceptable the rest well as the Radiohead song says "When I am King they will be first against the wall" Up The Tigers
My own take on it is i prefer KCFM, they have Garreth Roberts who i respect so much, he tells it as it is, Burnsy had to be my choice on saturday coz was at work and had a rubbish radio recepion due to where i was (which was bizzare being on hedon rd) but though i like Swanny the two of them its like listening to your old grandad and his friend in a pub, Burnsy on saturday just kept on about some old player he couldn't remember the full name of, Swanny said "God Burnsy are you STILL on about that" Alex Burgess for me, Garreth Roberts, Pete Skipper, Linton Brown, Justin Whittle, its a good team.
All local radio station presenters are a bit giddy with the ahem , fame . But i much prefer RH commentary and presenter to KCFM , proven by listening to RH on Medium Wave as opposed to listen to KCFM on uh FM Who cares if their reporting is sometimes scaremongering , doomsday and lightweight - ive got internet , i can check for myself.
I've had my issues this season with Burnsey about the whisper of the club going into administration but have to admit he is good at what he does. Pity he doesn't have a decent co-commentator/summariser - Swanny is just thick and Gollum doesn't like football and seeks every opportunity to stick the boot in - he's only ever happy eggchasing and waxing lyrical about that regional M62 game. KCFM started well in 2007 with Alex Burgess but is now rubbish since Lincs FM took control. Good summation Manchester - wouldn't disagree with any of that other than Pete Smurth - another eggchaser and a miserable git.
