I'm no English teacher, it's just easier to read posts if a bit of effort goes into posting correctly.

PS - I'm sorry to hear you're ill, I wish you a speedy recovery. :emoticon-0105-wink:

Thanks for your concern but im fine, im sorry your a sad square who feels he needs to point out peoples spelling or grammer mistakes. I didnt see the thread that said olm was the board police who would check and correct these mistakes, i thought the main idea of this board was to discuss football/Hull City issues.....Hope my spelling and grammer has improved and met your requirements.

There's a big wide world out there dont let little things like my spellings upset you.

Being a stickler for accuracy (agree with earlier post it's not being pedantic) I find myself constantly holding back from correcting people's spelling / grammar on here. But, seeing as someone's opened the can of worms:

Apostrophes - in the rant above it's people's spelling, not peoples spelling

The words 'been' and 'being' do not mean the same thing

The words 'where' and 'we're' do not mean the same thing

When 'I' do something 'I' do it with a capital 'i'. There is no such word as im.

I tend not to pull people up on grammar or spelling as we all make mistakes, but people won't waste much time on a post if it looks like it'll take time to decipher.

Text speak and posts written in the vernacular like the jocks and geordies do tend to get skimmed over rather than by me.

Agree to be honest, as you say everyone makes mistakes - I may be a stickler for spelling / grammar but I type like I've got hooves instead of fingers. I just get pissed off if people make no effort and write in txt bollox

Same here, I hate text speak, symptom of moron culture in my book, we go to school for a reason. The only spelling mistake that gets on my nerves is when people write 'looser' instead of loser, unless the spelling of loser changed and nobody told me?!

Wts rng wiv txt spk its wkd n sves ldza tym nd space.

Seriously though, you lot are moaning about grammar and spelling, so what about if someones heavily lysdexic? Would you still tear into them and have a go even if they've tried to get it right but failed miserably? My girlfriend bless her is lysdexic and sometimes it's really bad, she can usually pretty much write normally with the odd spelling mistake although she always gets confused where to put full stops, apostrophes and commas etc. but on other days it's really bad and she can hardly spell anything for love nor money.
