I was going to say that, then I realised if it were true he would be meaning when he was told it was verbal so he doesn't have any written evidence.

Whilst disagreeing with your first paragraph you did get me thinking with the second. Whether he is suffering depression or addiction to drink, drugs, slovenian hookers etc he clearly needs help.

If on the other hand he just suffers with being a **** I'm not sure you can get therapy for that

To be honest if anything it would be the injuries, rather than signing for us and getting a tidy 45k a week that would be more likely to cause any drink/depression problems. Maybe he does have a problem, or maybe he's just being a dick. Being suspended by two clubs isn't a glowing representation of your character. See you're taking your usual stance of defending Bullard no matter what.

I'd be surprised if Bullard is depressed to be honest, seems like he is a problem drinker and has an attitude problem. No doubt when he hits rock-bottom he will cite underlying depression but my gut feeling is he is just a waster and a bum.

If Barmby had been fired for the incident (lets call it) Bullard would also have needed to be fired TWF or Barmby could have built a case about discrimination.

It seems like something was wrong inside the club to allow 2 players to brawl in public and what seems like an encouragement of a drinking culture - are there rumours of previous for Bullard while at Wigan or Fulham or did his drinking to excess start at Hull, if so that is what started the ruin of his career and perhaps the coaches/management should have tried to clamp down on it.

Hopefully Ipswich and the PFA will get Bullard to accept his problem and to seek help for it.

Bullard is just a long haired pikey southern TWAT, and frankly I couldn't give a **** if his knee exploded next time he took to a football pitch. He's a cock, the end.

I'm afraid that Bullard joins the list of the many footballers who have thrown away a talent most of us wished we had, playing football for great rewards as a living. He joins, Jimmy Greaves, George Best, Gazza, Frank Worthington, Tony Adams, Garrincha, and many more all who were far better footballers than Bullard could ever hope to be, but who is following their path to destruction if he carries on.

Just Google Jimmy Greaves and take your pick, his highs, then the lows are well documented, basically he drank, and didn't stop until near deaths door, then rebuilt his life as a TV pundit. Some blame his omission from England's World Cup Final team, Roger Hunt playing in his place I believe, but whatever, he was soon followed by many other great footballers.

I am not so sure we should be feeling that sorry for him, as I feel it is more is attitude problem rather than an out and out drink problem. Last season on loan at Ipswich he was their player of the year, once he got his contract signed and sealed he started his antics again. The guy is just a cheat, he gets well paid for doing as little as possible, end of.

I would rather feel sorry for someone who actually did something for the Tigers like Deano,

Bullard used to one of the footballers I liked when he came back from injury at Fulham before he signed for us he nearly single handedly saved them from relegation. I loved watching him on Soccer AM with his antics but now I think of him as an example to the young players of what not to be, just a waster and a leach :)

    <cheers>

It did. In hindsight, it was an awful move for everyone apart from Fulham Football Club. During his time with them he won a call-up to the England squad. 18 months after joining us he was in the Championship. He was only 31 when we came back down, so a good 5-7 years from retirement. He could have rescued his career and his dignity by going to Celtic, but opted for the money. Joining Hull City killed him as a footballer.

    I agree with Cambridgetiger

Yes Bullard was a great player when he wanted to be but how many times did we see him at his best??

It does look like he has bid drink problems and other problems as well just like Deano has!

But unlike Deano, Bullard has done **** all for our club apart from rob us of 45k a week for god knows how long and embarrass our club!

I hope Bullard never plays football again, he does not deserve to.

Bullard can't be added to the list there, he didn't even get an England cap so to call him great can't be right.

Greaves, Best, Gazza, Worthington, Adams and Garrincha are so far ahead of Bullard it would be like putting Blyth Spartans on the same list as Barcelona, Real Madrid, Liverpool, Man Utd when talking about the European Cup!
