Thats correct. Were going nowhere without a massive cash injection. Next owners need to be loaded, either proper mid easterns lijke City or RB type.The downside is we will lose a chunk of our identity. Put it this way, as you rightly say money has ruined football, and money buys success. But there's only about six places in the PL that really matter, the top six. Even if Red Bull came in with all their billions there's no guarantee we'd finish higher than say seventh. So we'd be playing in the Red Bull Stadium as Red Bull Leeds, playing in something like red shirts, white shorts and red socks, having sold our soul just to be also rans, another Stoke or WBA.

It won't take millions to get promotion. Let's for once as a club make a stand for how it can be done, how it should be done, and let's do it as Leeds United in the all white strip

If this offer is genuine it's happening, and I am sorry but we won't ever get to and stay in the prem without a huge injection of cash. Plus if and when we get there We need to build and fill a 55000-60000 stadium and fill it week in week out.

Another of those paradoxes we won't attract good enough players without the cash large crowds generate, and we won't generate the crowds without better players. Will give the kids a few quid to go out with tonight, the vodka and red bull they buy might help buy the club.

I can't resist pointing out that unless you're starting from the Bates newco, if you're keeping your history, that should be blue and yellow.

Football was always the peoples game. All this big money talk, doesn 't benefit us. It makes rich people richer at our expense, both financial and in the match day experience.

Clubs should be part of the community, not an executive toy or a vehicle for advertisers.

Surely supporting a team is supposed to be an enjoyable distraction to everyday life, win lose or draw. It won't make my life any better or any worse if Leeds are in the PL or in the Championship, so why so many people would be willing to lose our identity, a name change, a kit change etc just to rub shoulders with ****s like the pride of Devon is beyond me. They may think that it would change their sad little lives by basking in the reflected glory of a Red Bull Leeds but they'd soon be back to moaning just as much as they do now.

It's just not worth losing the Leeds United as we know it.

When you get relegated in a few weeks time you will nearly be keeping tradition alive. Another relegation or two and it will be job done.

I think you're spot on.

We all love to see our teams doing well. It gives a great feeling, but Prem football comes at a price, and that price can be the heart and soul of your club .

For a good, football fans experience, the Championship has an awful lot going for it.

As chippy rightly says for us, be careful what you wish for, it could just come true.

There a first for everything. I find myself agreeing with every word this morning. Ill mark this day on the calender. Its ok for the younger lads to stick to the high moral ground and say success is basically irrelevant. Im one of the older brigade and I remember when Leeds really were the best in Europe, probably the world and I long for the days we can join the elite again. Unfortunately it will require selling part of our soul in some fans eyes but Im fine with that.I know many Arsenal, City, Chelsea fans and they are quite happy where they are today

A bit of help from a Sikorsky or Bell would be handy. I don't mind climbing the last bit but scrambling out of the gutter is not pleasant, it takes ages and only a few make it.
