What we have to remember is that when we got promoted from we finished second in this league. The promoted teams always have that incentive. We just need to stay on the positive side at least for the first 6-8-10 games. If things are still not happening then I can understand the frustration but not now.

Annoyingly we got the first shot on target as well and we were really getting into the game when Olsson got sent off. before that Wolves weren't actually doing much. lots of possession but easy for our defence to keep out. Strange that the attack is the problem considering Adam's attacking know how!

we were poor today,no avoiding that, but it IS only the first game of a long season. i thought the defence looked ok although martin struggled out of position.laffarty showed some good touches when he came on,but grabben showed a worrying reluctence to go in where it might hurt. of course the sending off was the deciding factor but we must not get into a loseing mentality when we play away,as we have the last couple of seasons. the binners are getting wildly exited after one narrow win,the result of years of abject failiure and frustration i suppose. noticed yesterday their stadium was still half empty. no change there then!

Blimey. A 1-0 loss at a place not many teams will take points from and the bin men and already making messes in their trousers through over excitement.

Youd think in the first game of the season the players might be a little more up for it?!?!?! The first caller is wrong to say that NA should be sacked but quite correct in saying Lennon would have been a better choice. HE would have got them up for today. We didnt close down fast enough, move the ball quick enough, we never looked convincing barre about 10mins before Olsson got sent off.

Whittaker, Olsson, Surman, Redmond, Johnson and Garrido were very poor today. First game of the season, you cannot have THAT many players seemingly unready for the challenge.

As insaid earlier, Grabban was looking like RVW at one point... ie he looked like he was thinking "how the fk am I gona score at this place?!?!?" We said it last year and will again this, there is NO point signing a goalscorer unless you can provide them with chances.

2 positives are that Wes looked up for it and Lafferty's introduction upped our tempo immediately. Lets hope henis fit for the next game.

I was putting 2, him being an attacking player in his career, and 2, his clear idea to play an attacking style, together and getting 4.

I see it didn't work today but against St. Etienne and Celta Vigo we we're clearly going for it a lot.

Very sensible caller on now. People lauded Redmond last year and blasted RVW but it would be interesting to see how many REAL chances RVW actually got compared to how many times Redmond smashed it over the bar or played the wrong pass. I bet the latter happened more often!

We need to work on links and relationships between players so the fluidity comes.

Unfortunately didn't catch the game, (or perhaps fortunately as it turned out), but just from the team sheet it looks like our central midfield was practically non-existent? Was very surprised not to see someone more solid alongside Johnson.

Always disappointing to lose, but did anyone really expect anything else away to Wolves, on the first day of the season? Hardly conditions we thrive in!
