Newspaper talk today mentioning all of the 'big 6', plus the likes or Real Madrid, all interested in signing Bruno. Fook off!!

It'll be interesting to see what happens if those links are true - real sign of the intention from the owners - few more ridiculous signings like Isak and put Bruno on whatever wage he want's and that'll tell me all I need to know about where we are heading

No way would we sell him to an English club, No way Madrid could afford him.

which of the big 6 could afford him ??
starting price would be £333,333,333.33p and I say starting price
I say this cost as it reminds of when we sold Malcolm Macdonald for £333,333.33p

With the 'big 6' about to become the 'big 7', this isn't really an issue imo. If we were a team like Leicester then I'd be worried as they always lose their best players, but we're on the rise and we have keeping power now.

And before anyone says we can't be big 7 cos we don't win anything, Spurs never win anything either - a league cup in 08, and before that it was the FA back in 91 before the Prem had even started.

I totally agree, although the big clubs do also buy players from each other as well, so it will start to happen as we attract bigger players. Their heads could be turned by the likes of Man City.

Definitely can't see the club wanting to lose Bruno, whatever the offer, so just have to hope he still remains committed to the NUFC project.

He's got 3.5 years on his current deal so I wouldn't worry to much, been here 10 months so far and seems to be loving life - if we make Europe this year or next think he'll stick it out to see where we are going. Loves the manager, fans and club currently. At the two year mark (end of next season) would be different but can't see him leaving until end of next year earliest tbh.

I wouldn't be worried about him going to a club in this country any time soon. I think he'll give us a chance to get to a level where we are competing. The only club if be really worried about is if Real Madrid came in (who also have an ageing midfield). They are probably the only club outside of the prem who can do it financially and obviously from the players point of view an offer from Real Madrid would demand some consideration.

Probably comes down to the player, as the club has no reason to sell unless he becomes unsettled. Hopefully he realises that he is probably in the best place to develop his talents for the next few years. Hopefully he gets selected for the Brazil World Cup Squad as I would suspect that not being in the squad might make him think he may be better in one of the currently bigger teams.

Stop lumping us in with the rest of that rabble will you? The big 6 will be what it will be and will never include us. We are in a completely different league to them, a league of our own if you will. There's the Massive 1 (i.e. us), then there's them (the big 6).

Finally, a club that undertands and appreciates me.

And here’s me thinking you were just going to laugh at Spuds thinking they are one of the so called Big 6.

BBC article on who's the better Bruno, Guimaraes vs Fernandez. Has a pole for readers, results are:
You must log in or register to see images

Just ask for £200m CASH and that'll put a stop to their interest.
That would get you 3/4 of his left leg! The response we got from clubs we have approached in the last year is the exact same response we should be giving out when they come knocking on our door wanting our best players.

We are now in the most enviable position imaginable where we don’t have to sell our best players and if we decide to sell someone it’s because we have something lined up by way of a replacement.

Well half the article is dedicated too Bruno so yeah, he's definitely talking about Bruno. :bandit:

"I can't lie to you and say we'll never have to sell a player, we'd always be able to hold on to our top talent," he added.

"That doesn't happen anywhere. Liverpool sold Mane - you have to sometimes make a pragmatic decision to go, 'OK, we'll do that because that's a way of reinvesting in the club'.

"But as a rule of thumb, I would like to think we'll be able to hold on to our top talent in order to drive our ambitions of driving up the league and competing for cups."
