He's not subject to the "English" tax though - personally I'd be looking for £130m+ - but from a business perspective if you triple your money in a year and can reinvest sensibly it'd make sense - could buy the enitre back 4 again for and have a few million left over.
In an ideal world yes but it doesn't work that way, very few clubs actually hand over the full transfer fee or selling clubs will know that you have money so a £20m player all of a sudden becomes a £40/50m player, like I said yesterday £200m CASH or **** off.

Just playing devils advocate Mick :emoticon-0130-devil

But say it went towards someone like Bellingham - £120m for him *unlikely I know* but for this example it really becomes £60-70m with the 50-60m profit - I could live with that.

True enough but if we believe what the owners say then we're not a selling club and Bruno only 24 means he could be here for 6 years at least!

Liverpool echo quoting his market value as £34m and that we might want up to £20m more than that…

Oh my days… who makes this **** up.

amanda should refuse to sell any player to a dirty 6 club like they apparently won’t sell to us.

LFC is a step down anyhow…

Barcelona have entered the race to sign Newcastle United's Brazil midfielder Bruno Guimaraes, 24, after failing to land Bernardo Silva from Manchester City. (Sun)

Lol, they haven't a pot to piss in and would probably offer £20m a year for 10 years to pay his fee!

With them likely to go pop I reckon clubs will want all funds up front. Too big a risk imho.

Don’t know. Exchange for Gavi, Pedri and Ansu Fati

Bruno is a Brazilian full international showing us how special he is.

I don’t think we will actually sign a better player at the right age with the right attitude.

He’s worth 100m minimum. But actually to us and our progress he is priceless.

We can build a team around him Botman and hopefully Isak.

They baulked at City’s valuation of Silva which was apparently around £80m…..if they think we’d sell Bruno for less than that they are smoking some serious product. Hilarious.

Yeah they are on that really serious **** that makes you think mustad chinos look good, or give you halucinations about milking cows at St James', or makes you paranoid that a gang of evil traffic cones are going to assault you.

The impression I'm getting is that they are not the only ones who think that ie that scouse paper article. I think and I may be wrong but certain clubs think Newcastle are still run on the Ashley model ie buy young and sell for a profit but our owners are saying that is not the case and Newcastle are buying players for the future with Bruno, Izak, Botman and very promising youth players while blending in the existing squad. Botman will be next for speculation with the same arrogant assumptions.
