Birmingham City's transfer window has been plunged into uncertainty amid reports that the club have been placed under a transfer embargo by the EFL. It is claimed by respected Blues blogger Dan Ivery that the EFL have declined to register Kristian Pedersen as a Blues player - and that they have enforced a transfer embargo.
Blues are said to have been stung under Financial Fair Play guidelines following last summer's spending spree under Harry Redknapp. It is reported that Blues chiefs had been given a period to fix the FFP situation but that did not happen. Such a development would be a bitter blow to Garry Monk who hoped to improve the squad in the window - and had previously talked encouragingly about the chances of that happening.
It is understood the Blues boss wants to sign four more players after recruiting Pedersen with a central midfielder, a winger and a forward on his agenda.
He didn't just "do" us then....
