Just listened to humberside who said the heskey deal could go into next week due to his and SB holidays. Didn't SB fly back from his holiday for his press conference, that's some holiday it must be nearly a month. Think I'll try this unemployed gig see if I can get a similar holliday:tongue:

Would have thought he would be around to finish a couple of signings before preseason starts, not on another holiday.

HDM was saying that it would be next week because that's when Heskey gets back from holiday. They also said in the meantime that Bruce and the club were pushing on with talks with other targets this week. If Bruce is off on 'holiday' is that the cover the club have fed the media for him being out the country to have talks with Gonzales?

I think evryone at the club is cool with how things are progressing apart from some fans and the local media who are desperate for some news and stories. I have no issues with holidays just as long as they end on sunday 1st july.

Hold onto you hats as next week could be a whirlwind and your socks may also get blown off. !! ;)

Bruce flew in to sign the deal and flew back straight away - there is a reason why very little has been happening since his appointment.

It will all start from Monday.

Mr B never misses the chance for a few days at his place in Portugal, BTW I like Bruce he is a good man.

Morning Syd, what do you think the chances of Bruce returning to your gaff to do a bit of shopping?

There have been a few rumours, Turner and Campbell seem unlikely, but Bramble and a loan for Wickham might be more realistic?

We are after a CB so one or more will leave, Campbell is a strange one, lots of rumours about West Ham and Fulham and Wickham could do with a year away.

Wickham would be a very decent acquisition on a season long loan but could it spell the end for Fryatt?

Yes the official announcements instead of the whispers and rumours ? :emoticon-0116-evilg

Maybe he's still sussing out the venues for the warm weather training camp.....

Did SB go out to Portugal with Sunderland in the past ? Could be the same place. At least its a change from that Italian place Tangoman took City to.

<yikes> oh dear. Hopefully Bruce will set his sights higher than that ? Dont know if Ipswich have refused the clause either on Wickham.:emoticon-0112-wonde

May be a golfing holiday in Scotland with some liquidated Rangers stars to target?

Maybe Pop Robosn is up there already working on more deals ? Just a thought. ;)

Whilst SB is away - I'm leaving Lamby in charge of new recruits! ;)

Oh no,, <yikes> <wah>

You think ? It would be madness pure and simple. I dont see Steve Bruce as mad. <ok>
