Given Hodgson's resignation, and Bruce's comments in the past, coupled with his frosty relationship with Ehab, surely we'd want to be coming to some sort of resolution about what's in place for next season? Not suggesting the FA will pursue Bruce for the job, but he has certainly expressed an interest in the past, and this could lead to an ultimatum of sorts with the club.

No way will the FA be interested in appointing Bruce but even if they were, it's bad enough having to put up with him at city there's no ****ing way I want him ensuring our national side continues to be a total embarrassment.

Bruce already is in England, unless he is still in Portugal.

I was phrasing it as one would phrase any suggestion of a manager moving clubs. Don't be a pedant.

<laugh> judging by the names linked so far Bruce would be an improvement!

If you've been watching the England games you'd have to agree he'd not be an improvement over Hodgson.

I thought watching England was quite like watching Hull City.

Exactly what everyone I've spoken to in the last 2 weeks said. Sterile, uninventive, clueless football.

England have no system, no style of play and no identity. Unfortunately we've had the same problem for 2 years, Bruce is as close to that England job as you Syd..FACT!! :)

No, people were stood up and getting behind the team. Very unlike watching Hull City. There have been some awful, scenes at the Euros, people from all over Europe standing, jumping up and down, making a lot of noise..Thank heaven we can soon be back to supporting our team with quiet passion PDK style.

Steve Bruce has signed English born players for Hull City that would have walked into that shower of ****e of an England team on show last night. Is anyone seriously saying that Jack Witshire is a better player mid fielder then Hudds or Livermore ?
Also Curtis and Daws are as good, if not better centre backs then the wooden tops Hodgson chose.
For the record in case you've missed it tigerscanada Steve Bruce has taken Hull City into the Premier League for the second time recently and also to our first ever FA Cup Final appearance. I don't mention the European qualification either.
England peaked in qualifying. As per usual.

So you expect the next manager to pick Curtis, Dawson, Huddlestone and Livermore ahead of those others, since they were only there because of braindead Hodgson?
