Just a very poor manager appointed well above his station by the worst owner we've likely ever had or ever will have.

That was the issue and the reason that the abuse should have been reserved for Ashley in the main. Bruce did his best which was nowhere near the level needed. I don't blame him for taking (and staying in) the job. I blamd AShley for giving it to him and keeping him in it to save a payour under his watch.

Shearer can **** off anarl...2 days training a week, some effort and commitment that..

Fonseca would be an out of this world appointment for us. It would be a real signal of intent. Think our current position might put him off. Didn't he turn down spurs?

His odds fell dramatically before the media reported anything.. It happened when it was all about Howe.

Then today sky sports piped up, he's odds on all of a sudden and then Bruce's gone.

I would imagine its all but confirmed and Fonseca will need a week maybe 2 to move to Newcastle

**** Bruce he's gone it's all about happy thoughts now.

He'll be fine he's rich and the media will blow smoke up his arse to soothe him.

Some of our fans have acted like ****s towards him but that's always been the case here sadly. I think he did the job asked two years in a row, and did no worse than the previous incumbent all said and done results wise. However in a way he typifies the previous owner. Cheaper option (unless you fire him), no real plan on developing the side, nothing modern about him or his 'style'.

I've wanted him gone for some time, and as I said at the time I never wanted him to start with and he's a poor manager. I wish him well but it does feel like a watershed moment in the history of the club. We are removing remnants of the previous regime piece by piece. It felt like we were lurching towards relegation this season. Not guaranteed as some suggest mind, we've had worse starts. But it just feels good to know he's gone and hopefully we will see someone modern come in to begin the revolution.

I can't feel sorry for Bruce bar some fans behaviour which has been unnecessary. But the guy is walking away with millions and got to manage a club he wasn't really fit to in terms of ability. Its not been a bad screw for him. Rather than dwell in negativity I'd rather just wish him well and look forward.
