The murmurs appear to suggest Conte isn't even in contention. I would imagine this is going to be a big structural gig, and they're sensibly getting Brown and McParland to oversee much of the process. I'd like to see if Pouchy's right and see if this Marcelo Gallardo is worth it. @Warm Pouch knows a lot more than I do, but he seems to be about building and has usually done so on a budget. I think he'd be worth a punt at this stage to see what he can build over the next 2-3 years. He might be our own Simeone/Bielsa. But they may opt for someone with PL experience, so you're probably looking at Martinez, Potter or Rodgers.
Personally think we need a stabiliser. Don't want a Gerrard or a Lampard etc as I don't think they could undo Bruce's ****e. Don't really want a Martinez or a Zidane for the same reasons. Rafa or Rodgers for me. But in any case whoever we get well get any full support. Feels odd.
I’m not sure Rafa would do that to moshiri, mind. Rodgers will certainly feel he’s done enough with Leicester, so a good shout. Doubt Potter is going to be glamorous enough.
Rafa has already ruled himself out. As for glamour I don't think anyone linked to the ownership are about glamour.
I think today or tomorrow will be the days. No negotiation needed as there's an exit clause in his contract. Today is about letting him know... tomorrow the press release will come out.
You know @Steve Bruce is actually on the forum. He was very active up until last Wednesday. Funny that isn't it?
