Fuming.

We get Shearer's first game in 2009, City's first game after their takeover and now we'll get the new manager under this regime. Why does this always happen to us? <laugh>

Reactions: Munson.
I've never been a fan of sacking the manager without the replacement signed up. It's not the nicest way to treat the manager (looking for a replacement behind their back) but who gives a **** as they're getting a pay off.

This is a bit of a unique situation given the take over and how well known it is that he's on borrowed time. But I still see the argument for keeping him and his 3 mates until we have the replacement. We have so few staff that if we did sack him, left with just Jones and then we lose a couple the new owners look like muppets and Bruce's media buddies would go into overdrive.

They've obviously concluded the players like him and there's no internal issue that will be addressed just sacking him until they can replace the lot of them.

It's like I said, I doubt Bruce was delighted with the Ashley flophouse. All he's likely said is positive things; amazing you're here, can't wait for a brighter future, etc. He's not a complete idiot, he knows his time's up and he won't be given an open chequebook.

If we're in talks with top end folk like Favre, Conte, Jardim, Fonseca, Ten Hag, or whatever, you want to get it right. They'll want to get it right. Conte isn't desperate to be here for Sunday, he'd be interested in a contract that probably has a ****ing tonne of requirements, most of which we'd negotiate.

I think, objectively, it's the right thing to do. If the players had a massive issue with Bruce, he'd be gone. Clearly he's severely limited, on both tactics and fitness, but that isn't going to be solved chucking him out. I don't think Jones is much good either, tbh.

I'm interested to see if there's anyone watching on from the stands on Sunday, i.e. Campos or Rangnick.

Surely it's a wind up, the new owners can't be this stupid.

Do they think we are all going to be nicey nicey to Steve on Sunday like? <laugh>
