Wonder if he put his name forward for our open gig. Didn't he say he fancied another job?

Said he hadn’t had a phone call so assumed he wasn’t in the running :)
However he said he’d be open to other jobs subch as advisor or maybe dof etc…

Acun might not have rang him, but I wonder if his agent's rang Acun?

From how he speaks about Ehab, running scouting, bringing in players etc. I don't think he'd like being our Head Coach.

Brilliant interview, I’ve a lot of love left for Bruce, I wouldn’t want him anywhere near Acun mind.

Ehab certainly set our club backwards 10 years that’s for sure.

I assume you would not want Bruce anywhere near Acun because Sir Steve would run amok in the transfer market? Jeopardising the pennies left over after the private jet has been paid for.

Then stating Ehab set back the club 10 years for, again an assumption, steadfastly refusing to indulge Bruce's kiddy in a sweetshop routine.

My opinion is, Ehab saved the club. I will rephrase that. Ehab saved the business that was running a football club.

I apologise if I have misinterpreted your post.

Bruce is/was an old school manager that likes to run his own scouting teams. That's not how Ehab, nor Acun, wants to run a club. Which is presumably what the OP means.

Not sure what you're getting at with your post. We spent money in his era, but it was also during our most successful time (Premier League, FA Cup Final, Europe). He bought quality and some went on to be sold for a big profit, some didn't work out so well, but that's football.

I dislike a lot about Bruce’s style of management but his recruitment was his strongest point. We signed some class players for peanuts and sold them on for huge profit.

It you wrote a list of managers, who'd managed a club for over two hundred games in the top flight and second tier, who'd made a net profit across all their signings, I wonder if there'd be anyone but Bruce on it.

The only blot on Bruce’s time here was not taking Europe serious in favour of avoiding relegation. He underachieved with our best ever squad that season

Curtis on the FA Cup game...

It's not liking Facebook links on here at the moment, Curtis is telling a story about the FA Cup final on the BBC Humberside Facebook page.

Very enjoyable story telling, mainly by David Myler, on the recent 1904 podcast - the 'live event' one, where in the 2nd half of it, they moved on to story telling. Myler is a good listen. Sounded like Curtis is the sort of character we've been missing for too long, not that there weren't other strong characters in that squad too - hmmn interesting that isn't it!
