It's truly unbelievable after the performance against Boro. How the **** can a team go from a great performance and thumping a promotion contender to an abysmal performance and losing against a relegation candidate, again! Just what the **** is going on?!
I don't know. Ask the tiny smidgen of remaining non attending or blind bruce in ******s remaining. They obviously understand the game better than anyone and will be able to give us mere peons a proper answer. Probably something like our team only cost £60m, why should we expect to beat a team that cost about 20p to put together. We were **** 20 years ago, Preston might hve won something in 1930, the usual pile of bollocks.
Good comment on the Match Day Thread about how we lost to a team containing John ****ing Welsh, sums it up
Getting rid of Bruce now would be one of the worst mistakes we've ever made. He's the only manager available who has a consistently proven pedigree for getting teams out of this division. Anybody else would be a massive risk at the minute, and where would the 'Bruce out' crowd be if we still didn't get promotion with a new manager. You just have to look at Burnley and QPR to see that nobody has a right to walk this league. There is something incredibly arrogant about football fans in that they always think that they know how to solve all of their club's problems. You will not find anyone in football who actually knows what they are talking about who has a bad word to say about Bruce, that is good enough for me.
Still here, just can't be arsed with the same arguments after every game! It's getting boring! I know the arguments for both sides & I think we all know that SB will still be here for the rest of the season unless we go into the worst run of form imaginable, or he decided to walk!
No mate, I'm sorry, but not getting us promoted would be be worst thing that could happen. I think some of you need to realise the magnitude of importance that surrounds promotion this year. Middlesbrough and Derby, two teams that have recently changed managers, are currently in the top two and brushing teams aside without much effort. Both teams are taking it very seriously and have invested heavily in their squads. We are pissing about losing to **** teams while they're waltzing their way to promotion without a second thought. Bruce has a track record of getting teams promoted, but so does Ian Holloway, what's your point? We don't want to be sat in May, still in the Championship shrugging our shoulders and saying "ah well, let's give Steve another chance to see us up, after all, he's got a proven record." We have to take a risk, Boro and Derby have done and they're smashing it. Two former Real Madrid coaches, it's not a coincidence is it? There's no risk if the bloke coming in has good contacts and a decent pedigree, **** me Billy Heath could get this side promoted with the players we have. The time for sitting in our sentimental, FA Cup final reaching bubble has gone. The harsh winter of reality is here, face it and be concerned like all the other fans with half a footballing brain have. Some of you are right, the people on here aren't managers, so why is it they, regular normal people, can see the obvious problems but he cant? If we don't beat QPR, he can **** the **** off. Give somebody else a transfer window and give us a solid shot at promotion.
Not getting rid of Bruce would be the worst mistake we'll make this season. He's not a football managers arsehole. Might make a decent number 2 or defensive coach.
Couldn't disagree more tbh, but it's pretty pointless talking about it as you're not going to change my mind and I won't change yours.
It's not pointless, I'd like to know why you're clinging onto the Steve Bruce popularity train when it's stuck at a station in ****sville. So what evidence have you seen so far that we have the consistency and the right tactics to get promoted automatically? Bearing in mind we still have to go to Derby and Boro away? If your answer is along the lines of "because I trust Bruce to do it" or "because we beat Boro at home a month ago" then you've lost the plot.
