Bruce IN or OUT?

I agree but you’re looking at Penfold/Ashley persuading someone to come and they don’t have a track record that says they are capable of doing that.

look at some of the football other sides with young manager play mate bruce has no ****ing idea

You miss my point. I doubt whether Penfold or Ashley are capable of persuading any decent manager to come especially now we are struggling. If they couldn’t do it in the summer what suggests they can now?

they chose bruce for the exact reason we are seeing now … bruce is being blamed

I see our old friend Allardyce has come to bruces defence ! the problem is heres so many pundits and media with an agenda against us we get the piss taken whether we do well or not, but the main issue is Ashley and everyone knows it ! They are stating the fact we have more points than at this stage than last which is very short sighted because we weren't getting hammered and we looked like we could get points in every game and our goal difference was like a point come may .. what I see now is a mess on he pitch.. anyway they are setting themselves up and its 4 more games until that defence is lost and all bruce has to do then is compare the remaining results in which we out performed every club outside the top 6 until the end of the season ..

Quite simple... do you want him OUT now or are you happy for him to remain IN?

be made votes public so we can filter out the pesky Mackem votes.

IN.
We will need his experience to keep the club in the Championship next season.

To be fair, Benitez worked miracles keeping this squad in the Premier League and now we're seeing just how useless this squad is.
Battered by Leicester, humbled by Brighton and we are about to get smashed by a bang average Man Utd.

See you all in the Championship next season...

he ,will never get untouchable players ,playing for him .

just not nufc for me like . Nothing under FCB ,seems nufc.

Out - but to be clear, it isn't his fault. All Ashley's doing and the appointment of Bruce is no one else's fault other than the fat controller and his puppet Penfold!

Championship beckons and it's only get worse - a lot worse - before it gets better, the only silver lining is hopefully it gets so bad Ashley has no choice but to get out.

Michael Chopra sparks up ‘lies’ row again “Steve Bruce has got to come out and say it’s lies”

After the dismal performance and poor result at Norwich, Michael Chopra made headlines.

The former Newcastle player saying that current senior NUFC players had told him that it was a shambles on the training ground now, with many players not knowing their jobs due to Steve Bruce’s training sessions.

Making a big mistake, instead of just ignoring the comments, Steve Bruce made the story so much bigger.

At his next press conference (see below) the NUFC Head Coach said that Michael Chopra had no ‘credence’ and was lying, stating ‘I’m not taking notice of someone who’s played 20 games and scored one goal here.’

It was such an obvious PR stunt with the line supplied by the club to divert attention away from the two defeats so far and shocking display at Norwich.

It brought a quick response on Twitter (see below) from Chopra ‘After reading Steve Bruce’s comments about me. I would just like to make him aware that I have played more than 20 times and scored on more than one occasion for my boyhood club, so now HE is now telling lies.’

Now Michael Chopra has given a more detailed reply in an interview with the Shields Gazette.

The retired player says: ‘I wasn’t surprised, he has got to come out and say something, Steve Bruce has got to come out and say it’s lies because I’ve said something against his team and his tactics. I stand by it because that is what I got told.’

He also takes issue with Steve Bruce belittling him because he didn’t have a long playing career at Newcastle. Michael Chopra saying that any fan, whether it is Alan Shearer or whoever, has a right to comment on the team they support.

Michael Chopra talking to the Shields Gazette – 9 September 2019:

“Obviously, what I said [about Steve Bruce] was the truth but he [Bruce] has got to back his tactics…he has got to back his players.

“So in a way, I wasn’t surprised, he has got to come out and say something, Steve Bruce has got to come out and say it’s lies because I’ve said something against his team and his tactics.

“I stand by it because that is what I got told.

“As a fan I want what’s best for the club and when I get asked questions about the club, I’m honest. I won’t hold back.

“I don’t know Steve Bruce personally so why would I not be honest with what I’ve said?

“As a football fan, I want what’s best for the football club.

“I’ve scored more than one goal for the club, but that’s not the point, the point I’m making is that I have the right to an opinion like the rest of the fans.

“We support Newcastle United and he came out with that ‘why should I listen to an opinion if it’s not Alan Shearer?’…Does that mean the fans can’t have an opinion as they haven’t scored 206 goals?

“From the outside looking in as a manager, you look at his [Steve Bruce’s] record and it’s not Newcastle United credentials – coming from Benitez to Steve Bruce.

“But he’s the manager of my football club and we want him to do well at this club, we don’t want to see the club fail. We don’t want to see the club relegated.

“As a fan, I’ve got the right to an opinion on my football club.

“It was my boyhood club growing up as a kid. You want what’s best for the football club. It’s just a shame Newcastle United are in the situation they are now.”

Michael Chopra speaking to Talksport – 20 August 2019:

“I have spoken to some senior players at the club – I won’t mention their names – and under Benitez everything was drilled into them on the training pitch: the team shape, how they were going to play – every day.

“Bruce has come in, and some of the players don’t know their jobs – they are not really working on their shape.

“At Newcastle for two or three years those players have overachieved under Benitez but I don’t think some of the players are good enough for the Premier League. So they need coaching.

“They need coaching – they are not good enough.

“The attitude from the (Newcastle) players (at Norwich) was disgusting.

“Once the first goal went in some of them dropped their heads and you’re expecting to go to Norwich and at least to try get a point, or three points.

“They are a newly-promoted team who have come into the Premier League and you’d expect Newcastle to be doing better than how they did.”

Steve Bruce press conference – Friday 23 August 2019:

“The Michael Chopra thing was blown out of all proportion.

“It’s laughable, really.

“I’m just surprised that people take any attention of him.

“Some of the stuff is just fabricated and lies.

“When it’s like that, you think why is that making national headlines – which is total rubbish.

“I’m not taking notice of someone who’s played 20 games and scored one goal here.

“That disappoints me. Someone with a bit of credence, I can understand.

“We can all take criticism as long as it’s constructive.

“When it’s complete lies, that’s when its disappointing.

Michael Chopra via Twitter – 24 August 2019:

“After reading Steve Bruce’s comments about me.

“I would just like to make him aware that I have played more than 20 times and scored on more than one occasion for my boyhood club, so now HE is now telling lies.

“Also the so called tactics you are working on seem to be working according to the stats.

“I’m a lifelong football fan of my boyhood club which makes it my right to have an opinion along with the rest of the geordies out there!”
