Labour supporters had no idea what they voted for.

Fully costed and transparent my arse. No wonder they(tm) are flailing around all over the shop. :emoticon-0136-giggl

They removed the whip from MP's that voted in favour of the motion. <laugh>

MPs previously overwhelmingly voted against a motion by the Scottish National Party (SNP) to scrap the two-child benefit cap – including Rachel Reeves.
In July 2024, an amendment to the King’s Speech was tabled in the name of SNP Westminster leader Stephen Flynn, stating that it “fails to include immediate measures to abolish the two-child benefit limit to universal credit.”
The House of Commons voted by 363-103 to reject the amendment.
These included Dame Meg Hillier, Labour (Co-op) MP for Hackney South and Shoreditch; deputy prime minister David Lammy, who is the Labour MP for Tottenham (including Woodberry Down and Brownswood wards); and Emily Thornberry, Labour MP for Islington South and Finsbury (including De Beauvoir ward).

By October 31 the OBR told Reeves that she was actually sitting on a £4.2 billion surplus. Yet four days later she gave a press conference in Downing Street at which she suggested that the watchdog’s forecasts were worse than expected and made the case for tax rises.

You are not supposed to try introducing facts on this thread. The Lefties do not like it.

They will be calling for the pretty much useless OBR to be scrapped because the Tories started it so it is their fault.

After the refugee Afghanistan Jihadist shot that poor brave American service woman & killed her he's denatutaralised all 3rd World scum <applause>

In fairness, I think I should point out that that “refugee Afghanistan Jihadist” got into the USA because he worked with their troops in Afghanistan. I am not sure that makes him a refugee just like the ones that we have resettled here because the Taliban want to kill them and their families for helping us. What a great success the latest expedition to Afghanistan proved to be: it is still ungovernable and somehow their main cash crop will still find its way here.

The lefties on here seem to have a thought process that is limited to binary choices. If you criticise one part of topic, you must therefore be criticising all of it, which in their bubble means you fully support 'the other' side.

It's why they(tm) are in a permanent state of rage and confusion, and can't grasp why their attempts at insults are more a source of amusement and evidence of their ignorance.

And to think they ranted that Boris should resign for ‘cake’. Has anyone actually checked that Reeves did actually go to Oxford?
• I didn’t know a landlord licence was needed (yes you did).
• I was a Chess Champion (no you weren't)
• I put expensive gifted clothes down as office expenses (to avoid scrutiny)
• I spent 10 years at the Bank of England (actually, well under half of that if you exclude secondments and study leave)
• I was an "Economist" at the Bank of England (actually a lowly analyst who had to be sent to study for a Masters to upgrade her weak knowledge of economics)
• I was an "Economist" at HBOS in Leeds (no, you worked in Complaints)
• I need to go for medical appointments (actually, you were moonlighting for the Labour Party)
• Boss, here are my expenses (which were fiddled)
• I wrote a book (actually much of it was copied and pasted from other sources)
• I run out of money at the end of the month [on a household income of around £250,000 at that time]
• I won't raise taxes (what to say about that one?)
• I won't come back for more (we know she lied claiming her “once done” tax raising budget was a pack of lies)
• I can be trusted with money (had House of Commons Credit Card taken away for misuse)

I am sure that some elements of the “progressive” Left (they(tm)?) will be delighted to see that the ‘Your Party’ conference in Liverpool is turning into a bit of a shambles with co-leader Zara Sultana walking out with some of her followers after one of them was refused entry and a number of people that joined but had affiliations to other organisations (e.g. Socialist Workers Party) have had their membership revoked.

No word whether any witches were harmed in the staging of this boycott.

Working families £18k worse off than benefit claimants after Budget

You already know how they(tm) are going to respond to this MSN article taken from the Telegraph. The numbers were crunched by the Centre for Social Justice and that organisation is headed by Tory Sir Iain Duncan Smith so it will be the far Right telling lies again.

Apparently:
Family with three children, one parent working: average Universal Credit, housing and health benefits = £46,000.
Family with three children, one parent full time working one parent part time working on National Living Wage = £28,000.

Single out of work parent with three children = £43,000.
Single full time working parent on National Living Wage with three children = £20,600.

That would appear to suggest that it is not worth working in Liebour’s Britain. Obviously they need all of these ‘working people’ to vote for them in 2029 although it is unclear who is actually going to be picking up the bill.

How much longer can this farce of a Government last?

An absolute shambles.

Labour DO NOT represent the working people at all.

Soon they will be off cap in hand to the IMF as usual begging "Please Sir, can we have some more?" before finally being told to **** off
