With Roofe looking to be on the brink of leaving, the onus will be pushed onto Patrick Bamford whose misfiring nature has not convinced a number of Leeds United fans. The Whites also have until 5 p.m. next Thursday to land a new goalscorer before the summer window firmly shuts.

Not long to go now for our first match of season.

If Bamford plays we'll scrape a 2-1 win, if he doesn't then 3-1 or 3-0.

Costa, Alioski and Pablo to score.

    Re U23s lineup today:

"Mateusz Bogusz is among a few notable absences for the development side at the Flamingo Lane stadium with Alfie McCalmont, Liam McCarron and Rafa Mujica also not included."

If he isn’t injured Bamford will start, out of interest who would you like to see start ahead of him? I’ve a strong feeling Alioski will be on the bench, can’t see him starting at LB and he won’t be ahead of Harrison

Bamford is the only show in town with Roofe ruled out, the alternative atm is playing a youngster - Edmondson or Kun, who got 2 this afternoon for the U23s - or going without a formal striker and relying on Costa, Harrison and Pablo to do the business in some sort of fluid front three, with Klich or Bogusz supporting.

So, Cardiff, Brentford and Fulham beaten, West Brom yet to play.

Welcome to the Championship Luton, Charlton & Barnsley - 2 wins & a draw.

Upset of the day at the New Den, where Preston were mysteriously beaten by some quirk of fate, their opponents can't have had anything to do with it obviously...<whistle>
