Sheffield United didn’t even have a shot on target against you, we created enough chances on another day we might have won. I don’t see how we could be poorer than a team that didn’t register a single shot on target.

agree
bristol citys keeper made 5 saves against them, but they didnt have any shots on target

Thinking of the wrong game.

But anyway, we had more goals, more shots on target, more xG, more big chances, less possession, less pointless passes in our own defensive third. Statistically we were miles better than Sheff Utd were against Bristol. Sheffield also had home advantage too, we were away.

No matter which way you look at it we performed better than Sheff Utd.

For what it is worth and I say this with no malice-
Sheff utd we destroyed -Charlton parked the bus and we did not break them down they deserved the draw-Derby we gave away two points criminal -Hull we battered and definitely deserved the three points in terms of the four sides played you are by far the poorest so far.
Your guy on the wing was a menace looks a real handful.
Us we need reinforcement up front if Riss get injured we have nothing-rumour a prem loan signing is coming in up top.
Fally-Armstrong have not cut the mustard with us and need moving out.
fair assessment of yesterday's game good luck for the rest of the season

For the last 4 seasons, I've watched the Bristol City away game from the disabled section as my sister in law's husband, who lives about a mile from the ground, had a major stroke in 2017 and I go to this game as his 'carer'. So was right on the front row, in line with the penalty area where we scored first half. A couple of thoughts:
i) The support from their noisy supporters is always great - wish our North Stand were as vocal.
ii) Of course, after the game I saw on Twitter blame for the usual suspects, when it seemed to me the truth was we presented them with 2 goals courtesy of Pandur and Hughes, and for much of the game we were outgunned in midfield not simply because of the personnel but because of the formation. I like Gelhardt but as a number 10 he is really a second striker rather than a midfield player, so we were almost playing 4-2-4, same as in the second half v Blackburn.
iii) I also saw the inevitable 'maybe we should bring Coyle back for Drameh'. There was an incident in front of us just before Drameh was subbed when their winger had 2 yards on him, and he not only caught him but then won the throw in. Coyle wouldn't have been anywhere near him. Coyle then came on and as per virtually the whole of last season stood five yards off his winger so he could cross at will - the fourth goal soon followed.
iv) We have sold two very consistent championship level centre backs , and at the moment that looks like a detrimental step. I do have confidence that Sergej will sort it out however.

Well that was abominable defending-thought we hired a defensive coach. if so he is not earning his money at the moment. As for the midfield for one as Kingston Tiger said above Gelharft was playing as a second striker so we were playing 4 2 4 and the 2 in those posiitons were playing crap. At the beginning of the game it took me forever to find Slater on the field. We are definitely missing Crooks. And its clear Lundstram has no pace. Thought Akintola was Citys best player by far and then he got taken off. Both our center halfs had terrible games and on that basis if Hughes is worht 15m Hammondzz...z window is looking good.

'No malice' my arse.
All the hallmarks of a disgruntled robin still sour and holding a grudge over their clubs defeat at Wembley.
Sheffield United were booed off the field at home after their defeat by Bristol City. No shots at goal and the Blades fans already shouting for the managers head on a plate. To compare Hull City to them at the moment is laughable.

I still haven’t met a salty Bristol City fan about that day. Some shook my hand as we left and wished us luck next season.

Been fairly fond of the club since.

Fair enough and I can believe that but red robins post that we were the worst team they have met so far this season when they have beaten Sheff Utd away so easily without a shot at their goal in anger is pure comedy. They beat us fair and square on Saturday 4-2, no argument with that, and we gave them the first three goals through our poor defending, that's football and I accept that. But to go on to label us as the worst team they have played sounds like the words of someone still bearing a grudge, hence my comments.
For the record before Wembley one 'robin' burnt a hole in my Hull City flag with a cigarette, he was ****ing quick though, only saw the colour of the soles of his trainers.

Absolutely no argument with the result on Saturday but to say you "Destroyed" Sheff Utd,and "Battered" us and following up by labelling us the worst you've played all season ?

All about opinions, watched both games myself for the full duration and I'd have your win against Sheff Utd as a much easier victory than your win against us...

sheff utd was away -Hull was at Ashton Gate. Sheff Utd tanked us in the playoff semi last season.
Football is about opinions.
Derby and you look very poor.

Same with me. We were in the 'club' section, I think it was called, so there were a few dotted around us. All were totally magnanimous at the end. <applause>

What you talking about a shot at goal?
They literally scored lol

BC are a team that have been cautiously building over the last few seasons. I wouldn't have thought that they are top 2, but they are certainly good enough to be around the top 6 again. They are comfortably in a much much better position than we are. Although both Sheff U and Ipswich have had unexpectedly shocking starts to the season I don't see them as Lutons and expect them to finish much higher up the table, and higher than us. We got an amazing point against Cov, a vital win against fellow relegation candidates Oxford and it was the result against Blackburn that was the bitterest. Our squad quality is very thin. The teams that came up were better than average and we are fortunate that Sheff Wed is a club run worse than ours. Its probably going to be another difficult season but I do think we will survive. Forget about short-term fixes and springing back as a play-off threatening team, we need to survive and lay the foundations for a better future. Thats not great fun but I think the reality of what we need given our position. I'm not at all sure our current owners will deliver that though.

Whilst I think that your assessment of the season to come is most likely correct, if we can sort out our current defensive frailties then we could have a better season than we may expect.
