In my view someone who wants to play and not accept sitting on a bench, drops down a league to do so isn't someone taking the easy route. Bournemouth were closer to bottom of table when he joined them not top like they now sit. So he had no idea then they might be in with promotion shout
Some people criticise players content to warm a bench and then others criticise players for seeking a club where they can play. Can't have it both ways. I would have admired Boruc if he had stayed and fought for his place, but I also have no problem in him seeking playing time elsewhere. Bournemouth are doing well...good luck to him and them.

i'm not criticising his intention to have first team football. just saying that his most recent moves involve the path of least resistance to get that.
How was he getting first team football at southampton? Having been told by koeman he would not be anymore than his number 2 and i also understand saints were happy for him to go to bournemouth but not an epl team
you can understand what you like. it amounts to hearsay. the verifiable proof we have is that the last two moves he made were to clubs where barring his self sabotage, he's been an automatic first choice at the expense of the incumbent.
credit to him for accepting lower league football over bench duty here. i can fully accept that the club had no intention of giving him a chance at the number 1 spot because the public evidence supports that.

Forgetting his own fans insulting him and his fitness issues he was not Adkins choice and he only finally played when other two were so bad Adkins really had no other option.
He didnt join saints as a guaranteed starter like Forster did so i take it Forster then went for easy option as well. Walking straight into an epl team with no competiton.
Anyway enough of this. Boruc is no longer an issue for Southampton fc. Forster now is one in firing line

Adkins choice was apparently irrelevant. Only Boruc gave him an excuse not to play him. His own fans insulted him? Delicate flower. A matter of semantics but they were not his own fans. They were fans of a club he joined and he had proven nothing to them at that point. At his age he should know there are unpleasant people at football matches.
I can't say I think Forster has chosen a difficult path either, but then I didn't introduce the concept of a player that doesn't take the easy way.

We all have our own opinions and some of us are more in the know than others.
End of day the gaffer made the choice here and if there had been actual competition Boruc would still be at club, koeman made his and BORUC is not the type to warm a bench unlike some others.
Hope Boruc does the business against Liverpool. Come on Bournemouth, then we can meet you in the Semi. If that happened, could Boruc play?
