Richard Bacon tweeted: "I feel so sad. It's so inward looking. Small. So ungrateful to Eastern European immigrants. So chippy. So economically illiterate. So sad"
So people who voted leave are economically illiterate?

What is the EU going to do about the money the UK will not be paying them? Will they increase their demands from other countries? Will this be another reason why other countries will want to leave also? Will the EU end up being a block of Eastern European countries arguing about who pays who?

We'll still have to pay them to secure a new free trade agreement, the massive saving was always a myth, though it will cost us less and we have at least removed the risk of us getting caught with further costs when things get worse in other EU member states.

We'll see. I'm not sure why the EU shouldn't pay us to do a free trade agreement as the EU exports more to us than us to them.

Someone should tell this nitwit how Scotland voted...

I think they know - they believe they will now get independence - oil prices and their share of the debt will mean they become bankrupt overnight and there will be no-one to bail them out

maybe the Scots should consider where the price of oil has gone before they decide to jump ship

If Scotland want to leave that is up to them. Maybe they can include in their application to join the EU their demands for the EU to prop them up!?

They'd need their own viable monetary system first. Obviously they can't have the sterling, so it'll be interesting to see how they work out the value of a McEuro on the fiat based global economy.

Can't be bothered to trawl through the thread, but what about the impact on football? Eventually EU passport holders will require work permits just like citizens of non-EU countries.

Jermaine Pennant has just tweeted - 'what about the next Euros' - arf

Sam Alladyce answered that. European Premier League footballers pay so much tax they'll have no problem getting permits.

All high earning football players will have the same tax rate. There isn't a special high rate for EU citizens
