I've had considerable time to reflect now on this performance and I've drawn the following conclusions (similar to most on here)

- A good manager knows how to react to certain situations in the game, be it with substitutions or a system change. It's here where Ramsey is exploited. He has no Plan B.

- Brentford were there for the taking, and we took off Luongo who happened to look our brightest player in the final third.

- Grant Hall has been superb for us when he's played

- Nedum Onouha's defending for their goal wa
s an utter disgrace. He's not a Captain, he's too top heavy, maybe stay out of the gym and work on your technique?

- Why did we not snap WBA's hand off when they put in that bid for Matty Phillips?

There has to be greater balance now between the usage of youth and experience. Or better yet, if CR doesn't think our youth are good enough then let it be known or move them on.
Our academy has been failing for years, the last player we produced was Ray Jones, bless his soul.

I find it difficult to comprehend that Harriman could not do a better job in this team than what's in front of him. Recall him and Ben Gladwin immediately and get them in the side. Both have got points to prove and will give everything, and our side could use some of that energy.

I'd personally like to see this side take the field;

Smithies
Harriman, Hall, Hill, Kwapeka

Luongo, Fer, Gladwin
JET, Austin, Chery

While I don't agree with your alternative selection it is an improvement on current failed system. And show's there are plenty of alternatives to our own tired uninspiring system

Ramsey will scrape some sort of result (not a performance either vs Derby or Preston) and it will prolong his stay letting more of the season drift by making it harder and less likely to recover from.

The guy is an idiot. Formation we play rely's on full backs playing high up the pitch as often as possible. But Konchesky and Perch\Onouha can't do that. And anyway our centre backs are too slow to cope with that so we end up doing neither.

Zero creativity from the pairing of Henry and Toszer. Also no pace and no prospect of them carrying the ball forward to open up space. Neither do they want the ball or pass and move

That takes so much out the side we become flat and dull. Rather than sustained pressure and good performances the only reason we aren't in the bottom 3 yet is that occasional and isolated individual bits of quality have saved us (and some easy home fixtures)

Players seem to have no confidence in the manager. No belief and no enthusiasm.

Sack Ramsey before the international break and pay the probably small compensation and get Rowett in (who unlike Ramsey) has earned the right and proven his ability in order to be given the chance (and the time) to turn it around

3 days since defeat has me wondering if Ramsey was just after that third clean sheet … It's a results thing and I can understand that
Get results by grinding out a draw in a derby is a good tactic. I can honestly see today that we can score goals and play better at home with a better expression.
But it goes against what Rangers should be playing to most fans. We want to win and play good football and with a young exciting team … that is a scenario that can't be purchased off the shelf IMO.

We have let in 1 goal in 270 minutes of football and scored 3 goals. We have 4 points from 9

If we want 9 points from 9 then we only need three goals to achieve that but we must not concede

Exactly how far are we from that? well the margins are close

Lucky to get a 0-0 against Wednesday? Lucky to have 11 players on the pitch at the end. Chery scores we win?

MK dons we scored 3 could of been 4 or 5 in the last 20 minutes

Brentford … its looks clear to me that this was all about trying to get a 0-0 now and it was shocking to watch

Would anyone take a 0-0 against Derby now? I many would, a 4-0 win at home to Preston, followed by another 0-0 against Boro and ending for November with a home win against the massive Leeds 2-0

There are current signs if you look hard enough. No it's not Rangers football and Karl Henry maybe not be what fans need to see
The problem is the fans IMO

We were promoted in the play off final we should remember by luck with ten men in the last minute having played crap with a totally clueless manager

So whats changed for many? we still have a clueless manager and aren't laying like Rangers

My point is that nothing is over until its over. Rolling the dice again is gambling and we already have had our slice of luck. The Foxes and Burnley back then were miles ahead of us… This year we have at least 5 teams better than us week in week out. I maintain that all the teams above us will suffer heavy defeats by the end of it all this season

Stick with CR I say for at least 2 seasons minimum … whatever happens will happen

Sort of makes sense though was a gamble that he lost.

I like that XI a lot I must say. Probably not the most defensively sound but then again the current defensive rocks, Henry and Toszer, offer all the protection of a condom made from a fishing net.

That side would get destroyed imo.
No defensive cover for the back four whatsoever.

Edward....no need to SHOUT......we may be a tad oldish on here but we ain't deaf.......

Welcome by the way:emoticon-0148-yes:

I wouldn't select that either.
in truth i think although redknapp was severly critisized and his fottball was horrible to watch it never the less got results, and these results were grinded out by playing massively defecive football, indeed if chelsea had not bought loic remy we would still be in the prem now,but ramsey has a major problem in as much as in this division you dont actually need this massive defensive blanket to try to put cover on the back four what you need is a back four that can defend, plus a foreward line that can score in jet ,austin and phillips we have an attack that should be able to rip the whole division apart,SO NO MATTER HOW YOU TRY TO DRESS IT UP THIS IS A MANAGERIAL PROBLEM WE NEED TO SACK FERDINAND AND RAMSEY
Iknow we all like things in life to be made of sugar and spice and all things nice, but sometimes you need old blood and guts warnock to be given the complete control,he is dirty he is nasty but sometimes you need nasty

We went up in spite of Redknapp's awful tactics. We were incredibly lucky and, in hindsight, would have been better off losing to Derby.

Chill out. I said we would have been better off as a club had we lost the playoff final. I wasn't referring to tonight's game.

Saying that, I wouldn't have swapped that day for anything.
