At the end of the day, Mike Ashley is a businessman, and he is using Newcastle United as a means of making a tidy profit, with no interest in results, league positions, players, or fans. Whilst other billionaire owners see their clubs as a play thing to throw money at (Man City), our owner is exploiting our club for a profit at the expense of its pride, dignity and respect. The latest Ruiz shambles was merely smoke and mirrors, a desperate effort to make it look like we had a go at buying a striker.

I've been far less critical of Ashley than a lot of fans on here, I originally defended him to a point, thinking that the man had to be thanked at the very least for stabilising our finances which were driving our club into oblivion under the regime of Freddie Shepard, but all he has achieved in his selfishness, is simply putting us in debt to him! Since this he has used our club simply as a cash cow, with no interest or passion for the once great Newcastle United.

Everyone has a breaking point, 3 long years after the Keegan fiasco I've finally reached mine. Ashley out...

Careful what you wish for. I met a small-businessman (not a short one, one with a small business) who hated Branson. Virgin used to keep payments to businesses who had done work for them back as late as possible. It meant that some small businesses went to the wall (a common thing done, apparently, by big business).

I've come to accept that Mike Ashley will be here for a good 5 more years. I will be hell for the first few, I hate the man. I'm living in hope that one day in the future we will get the rewards of the hard work now.

Stop this thread now! It is current policy to bury your head in the sand along with any negative opinions of MA. MA will not be here for the next 5 years but indefinately to recover his money, promote SD and bleed us dry while we clap and congratulate ourselves that we have a healthy set of accounts and a nice new shiny dugout. Most laughable comments this morning are about who we will sigh in January. Deluded.
